My fine, thinning hair was made even thinner after cancer - - after receiving radiation and chemo…read more One of the things that make us feel most like a woman - and what could I do? After trying MANY MANY salons, from Marietta to Downtown to.... Tucker!!... I finally found Donna Leverette. (The other stylists seem great too!) Donna was able to: 1. Style the wig that I had for the time I had left to use it 2. Turn my newly-growing hair into something that I could be seen with (without the wig) 3. Ultimately, when my hair grew in, "make the most of it." She manages to make my thin hair look fuller. Which helps me be able to wear it long(ish). Which makes me feel feminine again. Donna is a miracle worker! Highlights are not something I'd ever had before, but the ones she gives me not only makes my hair fuller, the color of the highlights/lowlights really frames my face and makes me look younger. I wouldn't have considered "hair color" but it makes a world of difference. To further plug her talent - when I arrived early last week, I saw her last week cut the hair of a 3- or 4-year old who could NOT sit still. It was amazing. Despite his antics (and a little crying when he saw his hair fall onto the grown), she QUICKLY and professionally got that kid's hair looking great. I don't know how much she charges for kids, but I hope she gets hazard pay. Speaking of prices, I have paid much, much much more - at salons in Buckhead and Brookhaven and the West Side. But no one was able to make "the most of" what I have. Additonally, I am so taken aback at how kind and caring everyone there was - did not make me feel like a freak and nonchalantly brought up ways to enhance myself in other ways. There should be a big pink ribbon outside this salon, in recognition of how awesomely they serve someone recovering (!!!) from life's hardest ordeals. THANK YOU - Jake's Beautiful Woman * * * I think they've been in business for 20 years or so. There are young stylists - with trendy cuts and colors - as well as those who do more flattering-looking hair for professional women. They do men as well, and as I've said, children. But I would unequivocably recommend (Donna) for people with illness, hair loss, or even working on your wig (those things are EXPENSIVE!!!) The business is in the shopping plaza next to Aldo's Italian Restaurant.

When I called to ask questions and possibly book an appointment, I was greeted warmly and was very impressed by her knowledgeable responses. Since then, I have been a faithful client. Pros- * She is professional and very knowledgeable about healthy hair maintenance for both chemically processed and natural ethnic hair care. * She is very experienced with creating multiple styles from pixie cuts, long layers to chic bobs. HANDS DOWN, this lady has Skills! *She is an expert in creating custom wigs and natural looking extensions. *And, she conveniently offers really nice hair extensions at the salon for reasonable and competitive prices. *Lastly, she is conveniently located in Lilburn, GA which is close to Tucker, Norcross, Duluth, and Stone Mountain which is about 10-25minute drive time from all locations. Cons- *The salon could use a little sprucing up. (This is a comment mostly for all the stylist and the owner, not just her) Appearance and cleanliness of the salon is important to clients. *You have to book online and sometimes pay a small deposit to secure your appointment that is applied to your service. (This may be more of a personal dislike for me because I don't like to use Paypal, but so far, so good. I have not had to face any compromising financial concerns. And I do understand that it helps to keep her structured. Which is good for us so that there's no double booking.) All in all, I am Very pleased that Reneka is my stylist and always excited about my finished product, seeing as though I am very versatile in my choice of styles.

I came in last week for a medium-length men's cut after finding this salon on yelp and seeing all the raving 5 star reviews. As a guy, I typically wouldn't have gone looking for a luxury haircut experience, but like many of my peers I have been working from home during Covid and used the time away from the office as an excuse to try something new with my hair and grow it out for the first time since I was in college. Now that my hair was long enough to experiment with some new styles, I was eager to get an appointment booked with someone as skilled as Alex to help me find a look that would work for me. As soon as I arrived, it was clear that Alex takes his craft seriously and he's done an incredible job designing an inviting and luxurious salon. I came prepared to my appointment with a few inspiration pictures to help demonstrate the kind of look I was hoping for. After reviewing the pictures with Alex, he talked me through his ideas for my hair and how we could actually go with a more modern, modified version of the type of cut I was looking for. Knowing how skilled of a stylist he is, I was happy to take his recommendations and let him work his magic. By the end of the haircut, I was blown away - this was hands down the most satisfied I've ever left a salon or barber! My whole life I've been so used to having to wait a few days or a week after a haircut before I started to like the way it looked, but not this time! For the first time in my life, I left a haircut appointment immediately feeling satisfied and confident in my look thanks to Alex's talent. Aside from receiving an awesome haircut, I also had a fantastic experience just chatting with Alex throughout the process. His story is fascinating and his respect for his art is inspiring. Alex is highly regarded in the hair styling community and it's a community that he constantly gives back to through the training and workshops he provides to his staff and fellow stylists. He's someone who understands the importance of staying on top of all the latest trends, technologies, and techniques. The world of hair styling is constantly changing, and you either adapt or get left behind - and Alex is clearly not someone who's going to get left behind. I can't recommend this salon, and specifically Alex, enough. I will certainly be coming back next time I'm due for a trim and in the meantime I'll be singing Alex's praises to anyone that will listen. Thank you so much to Alex and his staff for the best haircut and salon experience I've ever had
