The décor of the treatment room was lovely and it smelled really nice, but I wasn't impressed by the music. I intended to book another massage with him next month, after he finished the massage, but Chris informed me that he would be leaving this month and I asked where he would be going, but I forgot, so I called Aveda to find out, who informed me that they don't know, right! I had heard that this was the place to go in my neighborhood for those in the know. And I…read moredefinitely had high expectations. Coming from San Francisco, the land of the cheap mani-pedi, perhaps my standards are a bit high. HOWEVER. I am still looking for a place to get my nails done in London. While waiting for my manicurist, I watched as the toe separator from the woman before me was placed on the floor. Where it was eventually picked up and put in between my toes. Gross. During both the mani and pedi the woman drew blood with the cuticle trimmers. And it kind of looks like I painted my toes myself. Next time I will let my nose be my guide. I should have been warned by the chemical stench!

Went to this salon based on several recommendations and am somewhat disappointed. The staff were…read morefriendly but a bit short with me. They were too busy chatting with regular customers who they seemed to know quite well. I didn't feel like the stylist actually listened to me as I wanted my hair in a new style and quite a bit shorter but ended up with a cut that looks exactly as the one I came in with, just a bit shorter and more refined. It's not a bad cut, they definitely know what they are doing, I'm just disappointed to have paid 40 quid for a cut that looks exactly as the one I walked in with. The salon itself is small, tidy and welcoming. The staff seem to know what they are doing, maybe I just caught them on a bad day, I'm not sure. I won't be returreturning myself, but if you live in the area and are looking for relatively straightforward service, it may be worth a visit.
