Getting an appointment through Yelp was so easy. Joe responded right away and was able to schedule me an appointment for the day I requested right away. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by some of the most cheerful people I have ever encountered at 9am- I can hardly speak Italian, you get as much as a Ciao, Grazie and Buono out of me- Joe helped me through the process, he explained to Elena exactly what I wanted done with my hair and it was magical after that. Elena was amazing, she left my hair feeling soft and cut my hair just as I had pictured in my head. I also had a Shellac manicure and Nunzia was just amazing!!!! I picked a little bit of an odd color, green! Half way through the process she decided she didn't like the way the color was coming out and she started over again. The whole staff was just amazing, I got smiles from everyone and was offered Espresso many times while I was there- I felt catered to and it gave me such a warm feeling inside- definitely felt like I was around family. Hairforce is an awesome salon!! I am here for a wedding and I needed a salon to do my hair. This is my first time in Florence so I referred to Yelp for a local hair salon. I did not have an appointment so I sent a message requesting an appointment and I immediately got a response from Joe. He had an opening in the morning so I was able to get in. Cleope (sp?) was my stylist and she did an amazing job. This salon offers all kinds of services at a reasonable price. I was very pleased. While on my honeymoon in Italy last month, I got tired of my hair that I had patiently grown out for the wedding and was ready to cut a few inches off. After a quick Yelp search, I called HairForce and made an appointment. Note to tourists that don't speak Italian: Google haircut in Italy beforehand so you can explain the type of hair you have (mine is super curly) and the cut you want in Italian - there are websites dedicated to helping tourists get haircuts - who knew! My haircut was fantastic! I couldn't have been more happier with it and I pay at least $110 for a haircut in the U.S. so to pay only 40 euros for a cut and blow dry was a dream. This place is definitely a haircut gem in Florence and I would highly recommend it. Plus there's free wifi and massage chairs while you are getting your hair washed - can't beat that! read more

Joe did a brilliant repair job on a bad Dublin cut that was growing out in a lopsided and lumpy way, and it turned out to be the smartest thing I did during my five days in Florence. He trained at Vidal Sassoon so he knows how to manage my curls, and I've been admiring my cut surreptitiously every time I catch sight of myself in a reflective surface. And it was amazingly cheap! I've often spent three times what Joe charged me for a vastly inferior cut. read more

I was in Florence and wanted to get my hair blown out. I called for an appointment, and since I'm in the process of learning Italian (I'm not quite that good yet), the man that answered the phone was so patient and friendly, and he understood exactly what I wanted. When I got there, I was greeted by him (I'm sorry, I don't remember his name), but he gave me an Italian magazine to read while I waited, and he said reading it would help me with the language. Anyway, a different man did my hair, and it was amazing! It was silky, and shiny, with just a little bit of a wave to it. He really did an excellent job. Just an overall lovely experience. I had such a wonderful experience getting my haircut at hairforce! I went in a little nervous (1. Because I am attached to my hair and 2. Because this was my first haircut in Italy!) luckily Joe spoke English! I told joe I was a little nervous and even more than making me comfortable, he made me really excited about getting my haircut! Everyone was super friendly and accepting. I was a walk in and they took me right away. I left with my the front of my hair drastically shorter than the rest of it. An obvious mistake that cannot be fixed. It looks awful and it's a real confidence dump. I came here for a blowout midway through my vacation in Italy this summer. It was easy to call and make an appointment for the next day in English. I have very thick, curly, long hair that even a lot of professionals can't handle well, so I wasn't sure to expect, but the stylist that did my blowout was amazing. I was visiting Florence from Vienna and my hair was in bad shape (split ends and run down looking). I have long, curly/wavy hair that is extremely thick. It is layered as well and people can definitely screw up a trim if not done right. Joe the owner was over the top great, he was extremely confident and capable and did a beautiful job giving my hair a better cut than I've had in a long time- he gave it layers that allow me to get away with not even styling my hair as the hair falls really well now without the need to work hard. I loved the job and the price was just fine (55 euro) especially considering my hair's thickness, length and all the washing and styling they did. I am SO glad Girl in Florence recommended them they are top! thank you Joe you are the best! Also, nice chatting with you!
