I got the worst blowout of my life here. She used a paddle brush, not even a round brush. She ended up curling my hair too and the curls fell after 30 minutes. Had a $10 up charge for long hair when it is already one of the more expensive places for a blow out. It was so ugly! Never come here. read more

Studying abroad in Italy this summer and decided I wanted long layers (for the first time ever)! I was very nervous, but Joe and all other staff were extremely nice and kept up lighthearted banter the whole time. I had 3 different employees between my wash, cut, and blow dry and they all spoke good English. Definitely more of an upscale barber shop than a salon, but I was well taken care of and I love the haircut I got (with all services totaling ~60 euro!) I am very picky with my hair and I have tape in extensions and they did a wonderful shampoo and they styled my hair nicely. All of the employees were very friendly. Antonio styled me hair. With Italian music playing, I had a $28 Euro (approximately $31USD as of July 2023) blow out on my long, thick hair that was divine. The team speaks perfect English, so making an appointment was easy. In the wash area you are treated to a reclining massage chair with some of the world's best hair products. Then, the blow out itself was perfection, lasting several days. It was so exceptional that I returned back for a second and third during our trip to Firenze in July 2023. Elena did a great job with my color, which I am always very persnickety about. And, Joe snipped off all my dry ends, which made a world of difference! Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the woman who gave me the Keratin treatment. She did an excellent job. Incredibly happy with the results. Joe was so kind. He offered to help order lunch for me since the treatment was going to take a while. The team brought many English magazines for me to pass the time. I recently experienced the wonderful work of Hairforce during a yelp event 'aperipiega'. i decided that before heading to france for a wedding, my hair needed a new look. Making an appointment was easy, everyone was super nice and the location, though very small is really cute. Plus they have free (and working) WIFI. The consultation was perfect and we decided on a trim and a sort of light mesh, some highlights with a toner and then a cut, the whole process took a little over three hours and I absolutely LOVED the results, he really did in an amazing job and listened when I mentioned not cutting too much. The only reason it didn't get five stars was because for me personally, it was a little pricey. Think a cut & blowout (around 40 euros, a woman popped in and asked and that was their reply). My color and cut was a little over a 100 euros which is a little over my price range but I will say that I was quite happy with the results. Both my wife & myself have been here & will be back. The staff is great and very friendly from the moment you get in there to the moment you walk out. For those on travel from the US, they speak English just fine, and will make sure you get what you want. My wife got color done & will be getting more color plus cut later on. She was happy with all the work they did. My wash & cut was great & Joe was talkative & helpful along with doing a great job. One note, they get very busy so PLEASE make an appointment. Also, they take turns greeting customers & scheduling along with sharing duties for washing, cutting, colorings, etc so it make take more time. Just sit back & enjoy the experience. I came here because I got bangs a few weeks ago but they weren't thick enough. However, unfortunately the stylist I got didn't speak much English. I said "more bangs" four times, and four times he thought I meant "more short." Even though I showed him a photo of what I wanted it to look like. It wasn't until the fourth time, when I saw him cutting an inch away from hairline, that I realized this wasn't a technique -- he thought I meant the complete opposite thing of what I asked for. So now, my bangs are so short and thinned out I look like I'm losing hair, and it's going to take months for it to grow out long enough to even remotely fix. I just went home and cried. I understand that getting your hair cut in a country where you don't speak the language is a risk, but I showed a picture and everything...this is probably a great salon but I'd just inform customers to really ensure your stylist speaks English if their Italian isn't very good. read more

I want to add that Joe speaks perfect English. My husband was born in Italy and speaks excellent Italian and came with me to translate but it was unnecessary. I am a person who is very particular about who does my hair. In California I've been going to the same woman for ten years...and I just turned 23. My first encounter with Hairforce was with a friend of mine. He wanted someone to come with him when he got a haircut since he doesn't speak any Italian. I know enough to get by and was there for moral and language support! When we first walked in the place was packed, very popular with local Florentines. They were a little behind schedule but once they got started on my friend's hair cut I knew he was in good hands. This began to ignite my curiosity on what they could do with my hair. I saw one of the hair dressers doing a blow out and I couldn't help but want one too! So after my friend's haircut was done we went home and I told my roommate about Hairforce. She wanted to get highlights done so we went back the same day to make appointments. She made her appointment for the following day and I made mine a week later. Her highlights turned out perfectly and it only made me more excited to go get my hair done. Today I had my blow out appointment and I am so thrilled with my hair. The hair washing station has a massage chair! And the woman who did my hair (I wish I knew her name!!) gave an amazing head massage while she washed and conditioned my hair. When it came time to blow dry she asked what I wanted and I gave her a little bit to work with and she went from there. 35 min later I had gorgeous hair that she had blow dried and curled a little with a flat iron. It cost me only 19 Euro! I made sure to tip my hairdresser even though it is not necessary in Europe. I'm only in Florence for one more month and wish I had found Hairforce sooner! read more

Literally the best hairdresser in Florence. I came in with some reference photos and got EXACTLY the same cut. I had medium-long hair and asked for a lob, after cutting it a bit Joe asked if I wanted to go shorter or stop there, so thoughtful! The hairstylists at Hairforce were very friendly and accommodating when I called to schedule an appointment for highlights that same day. However, I am giving the salon three stars because the highlights given were quite uneven. In addition, the original quote over the phone went from 70 euros (over the phone) to 100 euros (quote in person before the start of the process) to finally 120 euros (the final bill). I did observe the haircuts that they were giving to some of the customers who came in. The haircuts were quite nice. I would give them a second try if I lived in Florence. read more

When I found out I was studying abroad in Florence, I was slightly concerned that I would have a difficult time finding someone to color my hair. Before I left, I did some research to try and find a salon that was willing to use my color since I have a lot of allergies. Luckily, I heard back from Hair Force via e-mail and they said no problem! About a week ago, I went in to get my first single process. To say I was nervous was an understatement! The lady who put on my color and blew dry my hair did an absolutely wonderful job. Although she did not speak a lot of English, I felt at ease during the whole process. I am used to getting my hair blown out twice a week at home, so I was very excited to learn that blow outs here are only 16€. This is very cheap compared to what I pay in the States for a blow out. I am very particular with my hair and would wholeheartedly recommend this salon to anyone! . They also have super fast wifi. The workers really worked as a team and were super friendly. The chair you sit in to get your hair washed is a massage chair, they offered coffee and water A LOT, and were extremely nice and catering. It took a while, but I LOVE MY HAIR! They do amazing work. I loved every single person's hair who I saw in there. I got a ton of hair cut off and I got my hair died, blow dried, and styled for 109€. Overall I highly recommend this place.
