Rude hairstylist who left me with half cut hair and went to talk on the phone for more than 10 minutes! I tried to be understanding and waited. After she finished the cut, she didn't even bother to brush of the hair from my face or neck! I literally walked home with all the small hairs on my face and eyes and as you know, small hairs can't be taken off or brushed off with fingers. She ruined my hair! Took a picture of the hairstyle I wanted! A full fringe, layered hair! I came out with the haircut of "Javier Bardem , in No country for old man". My hair was elbow long and now it's above my shoulder even though I made it clear to her that I didn't want her to shorten the length too much, just trim. I promise a blind person could have done a better job than the stylist for this place... My hair is ruined so much! That I have an appointment at Toni and Guy Newcastle to get a pixicut! I have to drive all the way there to have someone fix the mess because my hair can not be styled at all no matter how much I try. Wish I could give them 0 stars! If you want to

It is good value for money. The salon is modern and always very clean all the staff wear a proper salon tunic and all licences are clearly displayed on the wall even the one for playing music. The owner obviously cares a lot about the business.

You can even get your nails done, or have a waxing in the ladies salon. The staff members are all well trained, friendly and polite, and they actually listen to what you want to have done (unlike some hairdressers I have been to where they do what they want to you). The only slight downfall is that only the mens salon has the capability to take cards, so you have to wait whilst they dash over the road to get the credit card machine. Still, as that is the only complaint you can level against it then it isn't bad. Guido's it is very reasonably priced for all of their services, and if you are a student you get a discount (always a good thing in a University town).

Unfortunately I did not find the staff very friendly but a little 'stuck-up' and looked down their noses at you, but I persevered with that because the place had been recommended to me as being a good hair salon. The first time I went it was great and I had a really nice haircut. However, when I returned for a trim of the original hairstyle the hair stylist seemed very preoccupied with talking to the stylist next to her about going on holiday next week. The result was that I felt that I was in the way and interrupting their conversation. Also, she obviously was not concentrating on what she was doing as she totally mangled my hairstyle and it looked nothing like it was supposed to (or like it had when I went in it should have looked the same but shorter!). The fringe was obviously crooked and I was totally mortified. It took ages for me to feel comfortable leaving the house after that and I would never visit this establishment again.

The Danish owner is a character, my daughters and I feel we are treated very individually and are always welcome here. We never have trouble fitting an appointment in with all the times on offer. A later night opening on a Thursday and Saturday opening times ensure the busy public can fit in somewhere. Situated on the first floor of the Marton Hotel and Country club which makes it very easy to park outside for free. Prices are very reasonable and there are discount prices for children. I don't like to spend long at the hairdressers and this salon suits me perfectly as the owner is a very experienced cutter making the job efficient. I am always very satisfied and have been going for approx. 14 years

The massage was amazing I was totally relaxed and just wanted to sleep. The waxing was a gentle as it could get, the wax temperature was just right.
