I was reluctant to try The Grimm Trim due to the negative reviews I saw online. However, despite the bad reviews, I decided to give the shop a try because I work very close to the establishment and I read somewhere they were under new management. The one thing that you will notice immediately upon walking in the doorway is the stench of cigarette smoke. I didn't actually see anyone smoking but the the shop did reek of smoke. That is really my only gripe. The gentleman who cut my hair (Cindy was out on the day I visited) did a great job on my cut. He did exactly what I asked. My advice to the owners would be to clean up the shop and ban the smoking. Barbershops should feel clean (sanitary) and this one did not. However, I will likely visit this establishment again; unless I can find a cleaner alternative that is nearby.

It is first time we came to SportClip, because it is recommended by our brother in law, we thought everyone is professional in the hair salon, unfortunately he had a terrible hair cut. I can not even tell the degree she made the cut. She chop the hair unevenly, some of them are long, some of them are short. I am so curious about her barber license, i am trying to find the her certificate on the salon, but I cannot find anything on the wall or somewhere else. The whole process only take within 20 mins including cutting and shampoo, my husband used to had hair cut in New York, usually the hair stylist in New York took 1 hour to clean, shampoo, massage, cut and design. It was quick here in west Lafayette obliviously, if it looks good, I will not judge anything, the problem is it looks so ugly with emotionless service, she took care my husband just like a robot! She doesn't even clean the hairs drop on neck and shoulder, at least using a sponge to wipes them off. My husband got so upset with his hair cut, even though he does not vent his anger in the salon, he kept look at his hair and got very frustrated, because It is very important for his appearance, he has to see many people every single day. I think he even get traumatized by this experience, he can even cut it by himself of this look, why we spend the money on something is unprofessional? At the end my husband has to go back home to takes shower and wash hair again and again.
