Very unprofessional! So disappointed!

I've read various reviews on other sites and either you love the place or you're turned off by the…read moreconstant upselling. Here's my take on the place. I probably would go somewhere else if it wasn't for my stylist, Dillian. I've tried a number of salons in Charlottesville based off of various recommendations and he has given me the best cut so far. Everybody who works at Shear Power is extremely nice I do enjoy visiting. That being said, they will try to upsell you in every way possible, from deep conditons, to protein treatments, to eyebrow waxes to hair product. Just hold your ground and say no. I used to fall for it every time but ever since I was talked into getting a perm that I ended up hating, I've stopped falling for the upsells. Based on my concerns about the perm, they should have steered me away and into something else. I wanted a wave, not frizzy tight curls. They could have cared less, they just wanted the upsell. Btw - it's not my stylist that pushes product, it's everyone else. He stays out of it. Oh, I also wouldn't recommend getting your brows waxed there.
