First, let me tell you why I ended up at his salon. Out of a dozen salons that I walk into, The Hair Designers was one of the few salons in Salem that did a bleach retouch. I want my hair to be blond. I have long hair and the length of my hair was a blond color that results from other salons trying to lift it with color. I wanted what I have had in the past for years in California. Just a simple bleach blond lift on my grow out that I knew won't match the blond length exactly but I will eventually all be the same.
I look at the prices for a bleach retouch (90) and scheduled a consultation so there would be no confusion. At the consultation, I told her that all I wanted was to get a bleach retouch on my grow out and pull in through the weaved portion with an added olaplex treatment. She pulled out a book and wanted to tone. I said absolutely no toner on the bleach retouch. She even pulled out a book to show my what just bleach would look like. Of course, I know what just bleach does to my hair as I have had it done many times. I Agreed to let her do my hair because she shown me how she would apply the bleach to my hair on a paddle and not directly on my scalp. I was having a hard time finding someone to apply bleach to foils without getting a weave.
I thought I could trust her. I agree on letting her tone the length to match. That was my second mistake. We talked cost. 90 for the retouch 55 for the toner. Total 145, she had a hard time trying to add that so I distinctly remember because I had to do it for her. She said that she would also add olaplex to the toner but would not charge me. I told her I am allergic to olaplex, but that I can tolerate the itchiness during the process.
What I ended up with is a head of hair that is the color of a gold bell. The toner I saw before she put it on my head look like a gold penny. I commented on it. Stating that my hair better not look that color. She said no, it is going to be neutral. Well, it wasn't. I like the color of a bell. Plus she skip the 2nd step in the olaplex treatment which was supposed to be apply with the toner. I shouted OMG, it is so awful. She not only just wanted to be paid for ruining my hair She didn't offer to fix it, I imagine cause she not qualified. Then, she over charged me 10 saying that is what she wrote down.
This is where I get pissed. You mess up some one appearance you should redo it free till you get it right. She probably didn't offer to because she incapable of it. Now I have to pay for some to make it right not to mention the damage it does to your hair reposing hair. I would have had so much nice results had I just done a box treatment to myself like I have in the past.
I believe she didn't use bleach to retouch but instead tried to lift it with a color since the past was white and not lavender. Then, since my light brown hair won't lift to bond and was probably brassy as she saw while shampooing it out. She tried to tone the whole thing to this ugly gold to cover up her mistake. When I saw her with the ugly gold toner bottle, which by the way she lied and didn't add the olaplex to the toner my head wasn't itching like it was during the retouch part I said you're not going to make the ends that color. She said no it will just be neutral. No it wont she put that all over to make my hair one color. Ugly gold, like a shiny coin.
She a liar and a thief and she will ruin your hair. So, I figured I owe her about 155 in advertising. Also I am looking to fill a complaint with the licensing board that is how bad this is. read more
