Super long overdue review since I got my haircut in March. After a long year of being afraid of…read morehairstylists. I decided it was too hot to have long hair in Florida at that point (and even more now)! I needed someone more open-minded in the area and found this place. I walked in and got my appointment time wrong after some confusion, but she decided to shove me in anyway (the next client didn't show up). She was super nice and understanding about it! There's also a cute dog sleeping on the other couch while I waited. Unexpected dog appearance, but I found it helped my anxiety. It was very cozily decorated. I don't have high expectations anytime I get a big haircut because of my history of experiences (I got a whole haircut without the cape... got told my reference image was the ugliest thing shes ever seen...etc.). But she immediately knew I was asking for a wolf cut and explained that since I had an undercut that she'd leave extra hair to cover it while it grew. I am generally awkward talking during haircuts, but I found it very easy to talk to her :) I think this experience cured my hairstylist fear and I found out I just needed to find the right people. I also think it's really cool her daughter (I think) is working the front! Definitely give this local spot a chance if you're traumatized from strange hair salons! I'm going to include the before, after, and provided reference. Though remember it's slightdifferent because of extra hair left to cover my undercut.

So.. This is for Creative Hair ll on Narcoossee Road, their…read morenewest location. Where do I begin. This was my 4th time having Becky do my hair. First time Partial was $90. Second time Partial $110. Third time full $175, and this past time a partial $162. Prices jumped tremendously. I never really felt a warm and fuzzy feeling from Becky, but I felt she was genuinely nice through conversation. I liked her style of foiling, however I didn't care for her blowing drying me out to look like an elderly person. Some stylists just lack in that area so I didn't NOT go back to her because of that. The first time she did highlights and lowlights, when she was finished I said it's a little dark but I like it. I even messaged her a few days later and told her she nailed it and thanked her. So 10 weeks later when I went back she argued with me about how she wasn't going to use the same dark color, insisting that I didn't like it and pressed on using a lighter lowlight. So this past time, I again told her that this lowlight washes out and becomes an orange color and totally washes out my face. She took this real offensive. Kept saying over and over that I didn't like the dark color. Made me feel real shitty for asking for what I truly wanted. Never once did she bring a color board out and maybe go through the colors and come to a decision together, she rather would just have me guess and tell her what color to use. Again, not very professional. She never really did anything (as far as cutting) but trim my hair until this past cut when again trying to explain to her what I wanted was like talking to an elephant!!! Always looking up to the ceiling like DUH, like she couldn't understand what I was saying. She's the stylist, she's the professional so she should kinda know what TF is going on, right?? Not so much. I felt each time I explained what I wanted she was snippy and defensive immediately each time, not really wanting to listen or do what I wanted. This past time she was definitely defensive, snippy, loud where the whole salon could hear her talking to me like a child. I didn't have her blow dry me out because she had no clue on how to style her clients hair. So, After having my account debited $182 ($20 tip) upon leaving, ya think I would leave happy. No, at this point I felt very belittled and quite bullied. I came home and it was brought to my attention by my family how bad the back of my hair looked. I immediately called the salon and she was with another client and she called me back and was the rudest person ever. She was very nasty and told me that I could go back to the salon and she would refund me my $22 that I had paid for the haircut and I could go somewhere else to have it fixed. I told her that I was not happy with her response and that I would like to speak to the owner. I never heard from the owner. Very very poor business. Now they can just deal with my bank, as I filed a claim. When your stylist is air headed and spacey, this is the kind of hair cut you get. See photo for yourself. Her excuse for the bad cut was that if I would have paid EXTRA and let her blow dry me she could have point cut and did a better job. Don't let someones fake niceness fool you!!! Choose wisely. And if your gonna charge like an upscale salon, BE an upscale salon!!! I definitely would NOT recommend this establishment to ANYONE.
