I moved to Orlando 5 years ago and one of the things I struggled for a while was finding a hair stylist that could cater to my style and my hair! I'm Hispanic with a TON of curly hair. Kat is very well known for her women's color and Balayage expertise ( something I can also blows me away though it's not a service if ever need lol ) but her men's cuts are not to be forgotten ! She's been doing my hair for almost two years now and I trust her completely, to the point she has free reign to be creative with the direction of each cut. She is up front and honest if she thinks a color idea is either a bad choice or isn't immediately possible based on the facts and doesn't just do what would make her the most money knowing it's bad for my hair. I am probably at the old-ish end of Kat's clients' age range *and* have been in a high end salon client for years. Kat is multi talented in: cut, color, working with your hair texture/skin tone, maintaining hair integrity, and client customer service. Professional hair artist seems to be a more appropriate term for her skill set. My aging hair is shiny, bouncy, and on trend. I also love how she books/confirms. As a busy, working, neurotic mom - Kat's and Educe's confirmations are completely appreciated and professional. Additionally, her prices are great. If you compare her fees to some of the higher end salons here in the Orlando 'burbs (without the talent) you'll understand the value in Kat. I'm really glad to have returned to Kat. Several months ago I visited her at Educe Salon and had balyage and a cut done to my hair. I got the most compliments on my hair than I have had. I took it upon myself to do my hair after that- mainly to save a little money and because I live about an hour and fifteen minutes away. What a mistake! I managed to cut half my hair off into a mullet at another salon and my hair was over processed and unhappy. Truly missing the Care, Color, and Beauty that Kat infused previously in my hair, I returned to her recently and she put flow and rich color back to my stiff 'do. Kat is hands down the best stylist I've ever had. I had an absolutely horrific hair incident that i've been trying to fix for the past year. Kat was able to work with my extensions beautifully when I had them in on top of helping me correct my color with damaged hair. When taking my extensions out, she was able to work with me in creating a style that I felt comfortable with despite the mess it had be left in (from original incident). I finally feel comfortable with the hair I have thanks to Kat. She is such a warm kind-hearted person who knows what she's doing!!! I actually found Kat on instagram back in 2016 and she took me from dull blonde to blonde balayage and I loved it!
