She smiled and gave me the greatest cut I've had for a long time. I have pure white hair, a mustache and goatee. She trimmed by eyebrows without me asking. She and I chatted very little. Charge $18 , had to give her a tip..even though she seemed surprised. 2nd trip she chatted but you see I talk to everyone and never keep my mouth shut. She was so pleasant and again I got her to smile several times. Another great cut $18 3rd trip today...I called to let her know what time I'd be there although no reservation. My ride was 15 minutes late, called Li told her I was running late...she said 'no problem' This is the kicker! My hair was twice as long as it has ever been. I said you "probably know what to do" and she went right to work. Didn't chat this time and I didn't want to offend her. She took her time...a longer time this time because of all my hair...cut it perfect, eye brows, gave me a shave and trimmed my mustache and goatee. All on her own and my charge was $18. I was blown away with how she treated me. I gave her a good tip this time and told I'd be back again. 3 trips..no wait..excellent haircut and trim..same price. One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. If you are going to drop this much money on your hair, do it with someone talented who cares about the quality of her/his work.

Not ony did Zenia welcome me warmly, and patiently listen to my rambling about the cut, she validated my upset and walked me through the issues and how she was going to fix it. Her confidence made me immediately feel at ease! Zenia was honest in how much she could fix the first visit and we came up with a game plan to correct some areas over the next few visits once my hair grew out a bit more. After the first visit, I was sold. Zenia even taught me how to style my bangs at home! I received so many compliments on my haircut. Tucked behind the gates of an apartment complex (Lodge at Merriltown) its definitely a no frills place without all the pretentious hoo-hah and bloated prices to match. She listens closely to what I want and if she is unsure about the idea I have for my hair she always clarifies and never assumes. She is a very compassionate and caring person and has helped me through all my hair phases to make me feel beautiful. When I first started seeing Michelle I had long, thick layered hair. I always left feeling fabulous with my cut and color! She later gave me a sassy short cut when we knew it was going to fall out- loved it!
