It was easy to get an appointment. The spa mani and pedi included hand/foot masks and a paraffin wax which was very nice. However, in the process the mani/pedi took just over 2.5 hours (after the 60 min massage) which meant spending almost 4 hours at the salon. I had called in advance while booking my apt to ask how long it would take, and was told in total it would be 2 hours. I was pretty disappointed that the manicure started chipping within hours of coming home. They use exclusively Zoya polish for their regular polish. The color I chose was streaky, so the layers applied were so thick that even not touching anything for over an hour was not enough. Additionally, the color selection was pretty limited - I had initially wanted yellow for summer but it was not available. Overall, was nice for a gift card. Plan your day accordingly if you come.

They accept walk in's but acted clueless when I walked in, asking in very confused broken English way "do I have an appointment"!!??? Then I said "no I called prior to driving 30 minutes from my house" for a service that she said "come on" too.... I continued sitting down and asked for further direction. I sat down and took off my bonnet with my freshly washed and blown out hair. And then she made a chuckle. And started talking in their language to each other. Her next response was uncertain and not clear of what service I was referring to. I ended up just walking out in embarrassment. DO NOT GO HERE IT WILL BE A WASTE OF TIME!!!

The stylist arrived 10 minutes later and started at 6:23am. Despite a few hiccups with timing, she did a good job. The stylist does do the twists slightly differently compared to others I have had do the same style on me in the past. She braids it a little and then performs the twists. She also doesn't knot the ends. She does still dip the ends in hot water. There were also some communication issues regarding pricing. Initially, I was told $200 over the phone. Upon completion, she told me the price was $260. I told her that wasn't what she told me when I called and she agreed to accept the $200 plus the tip. I believe this business has the potential to improve by implementing clear pricing and communication practices. Posting prices visibly could enhance the overall experience for customers in the future and ensure everyone is on the same page from start to finish.

We will soak your nails, shape, cuticle push, lotion massage and finish with the polish of your choice." I had no soak and no lotion massage, no shaping........I did have a junior stylist that had no idea what she was doing. She cut my nails as short as possible, after the first one, I had to let her finish so they would all be the same length. After she cut them, she asked if I wanted them short. They use Zoya nail polish that has tiny brushes, she was dripping the nail polish on and spreading it out. I told her it was too thick and she said she was trying to get rid of the streaks, I asked to take it off a do just clear. She dripped that on as well. My nails are not even, they actually have corners. I am so disappointed. I came home, removed the goop, shaped and polished my own nails.

I went to a consult with Patty who said she could get me the red color I wanted my hair to be. Yesterday I went in for the hair appointment and Patty was very professional. She was always asking if I was okay and comfortable. She offered me a drink. She talked to me the whole time I was there (about three hours since my hair needed bleached and two red dyes). So the time was great. For all that we did, I thought it was going to take longer. I have never been so happy with my hair ever in my life. Patty did literally a PERFECT job on my hair! Not only did she get me to the red I wanted, but she gave me a haircut that was even better than I thought it would look like. I am obsessed with my hair and get compliments all the time on it. I absolutely am in love with my hair. I am extremely satisfied and you have a new client. Because I am using Illusion Unlimited as my new salon from now on. Had she just done what I asked the whole thing would have taken about 45 minutes. Instead I was in her chair for 2 hours! For a cut and style! In the end she charged $100. When I called to ask why I got the run around and was told oh well there is nothing we can do. No wonder this place has gone down and now the owner is selling. When a "senior" stylist attempted to curl my hair and it fell flat, she said "oh wow I guess your hair doesn't hold curl. I'll take the charge off for the style," then took my cape off and walked me to the front to usher me out. I've never, ever met a hair stylist who couldn't curl hair. I was baffled. My second visit I made sure to book a different stylist, yet my experience was 10 times worse. I asked for reddish brown hair and we picked out two swatches together she said she would mix 50/50. Instead she dyed my hair BLACK. She told me she had added in a third color that we never discussed - a neutral that clearly was not only way too dark but completely canceled out the warm tones and red tones. The next day I had to spend 5 hours having her attempt to fix it. I asked her to please Just lighten it as much as possible to get it close to the color I came in with, as I did not want her touching my hair anymore. First she tried a lightening treatment that did not work. Then she did a BLEACH bath, then a toner. Hours later my hair had lightened, but completely unevenly. I left with brown hair that had streaks of black in it. Naturally, I asked for a refund for this absolute fiasco. Not only did I not get what I wanted or ask for, this girl essentially destroyed my hair, wasted my money, two days and hours of my life while I now have to live with this awful hair or pay double to find someone who will attempt to fix it for me. The owner texted me and doubled down on the fact that she would not give a refund because I had a "corrective" service done. Corrective for who?? it did not correct the fiasco that is now my hair. I am not only out time and money but you destroyed the way I look, and damaged my hair with all of the extra treatments. And you're doubling down on the fact that your policy is to not offer refunds? For a problem your stylist created in the first place because she had no idea what she was doing, then was unable to fix?? These girls can't curl hair and they can't color hair. Thank God I did not let any of them near my head with scissors. And the owner is a joke. The salon itself pretends to be high end offering organic services, yet when you walk in it's run down and in need of paint and basic styling. You're offering organic hair care but your mini fridge is stocked with Pepsi for guests? Do not go here. Do not let these girls touch your hair, and do not support an owner who refuses to do the right thing when given the opportunity.
