I went to Kaylah for over two years, but during that time, she canceled my appointment at least…read moreseven times on the morning of, always with reasons like not sleeping, not feeling well, or having a migraine. I understand that people get sick, but this was excessive. Even her colleagues once jokingly commented, "Oh, you're not sick today?" while I was there. The most recent cancellation is what pushed me to write this review. Kaylah texted me at 8:41 AM to cancel my 10 AM appointment due to a migraine. We rescheduled for Monday at 10 AM, but that morning, she texted again at 8:58 AM saying her alarm didn't go off and asked to move it to 11 AM. During my appointment, she mentioned she was leaving for Miami in two days and had a lot to do--after my hair, she was heading to get her nails done. I did notice my appointment felt shorter than usual, but I didn't think much of it at the time. However, when I got home around 4 PM, I realized my hair was completely uneven--one side had blonde highlights while the other had red highlights. Worse, some sections at the front weren't even colored at the roots. I immediately sent her pictures, but she didn't respond. The next morning, I followed up, and an hour later, she finally replied, acknowledging the issue but saying she couldn't fix it because she was still busy preparing for her trip. Instead, she suggested I call the salon to have someone else correct it, which was not the solution I was expecting. I reached out to her with questions about who would fix it and whether I'd be charged, but she was slow to respond. After multiple calls to the salon went unanswered, I contacted another stylist I had previously seen when Kaylah canceled. She fit me in and discovered that Kaylah had missed multiple sections of my roots. I had to get my entire root redone and foils added to blend the color properly. While I was getting my hair fixed, Kaylah texted to ask if I had heard from anyone at the salon. I let her know I hadn't and that my whole root needed to be redone along with foils to correct her mistakes. I also asked her to cancel my next appointment. At the very least, I expected her to offer a refund for the botched job, but she never responded. I strongly caution anyone considering The Beauty Call and Kaylah.

Ok so I took a chance on a groupon deal for a 1hr massage. I have been getting massages since I was…read morein high school so over 15yrs now. I've had some that have been less then desirable, and some that have blown me away in that I had no tension knots and was pain free for a long while after the massage. This one however was by far one of the worst massages I've ever experienced. The woman was nice and courteious, but the technique and skill were defentially lacking. She did more of a stretching and pulling on my limbs and joints, a lot of pressure points and "karate chopping". I informed her clearly that my trouble spots were my neck/shoulders and lower back, figuring she would spend most of the hour focused there and working on the knots. Boy was I wrong. I mentioned at one point the pressure could be more, and the karate style chopping began, it was awful and did nothing. She then proceeded to pull and stretch my legs and arms, my right knee has been swollen and in moderate to severe pain since my experience with her, something "popped" during her tugging and pulling she called "stretching". My shoulders ache and hurt more now then when I walked into her salon. The place is VERY small, and for lack of a better word dingy. I saw she had a hair dressing chair in the front and offers hair and waxing as well as holositic healing. Perhaps she is better at the hair and other services, but I will not be returning, nor reccommending to anyone i know. Should have spent the extra $30 and went somewhere I knew I would gain relief.

I stand for 12 hours a day for work in a pharmacy on most of my work days and it takes a toll on my body. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that I found this place. Marcella is the way to go. Marcella knows her accupressure, and finds me relief. I feel so great afterwards, ready for anything. I'm thinking there was a communication breakdown somewhere with Erin M. because Marcella is so easy to talk to and if you just let her know what's bothering you, for instance, if you didn't take well to "karate chopping" or whatever you perceived it to be, just say so! Marcella is professional and accomodating, and a pleasure to converse with. I usually like to be quiet during my massages, but for some reason I was a yakker for my two massages and the quality of the massages did not suffer for it. I will try to let her do her thing on the next one. I won't stop coming to her even though my drive there is long, it is so worth it. The relief lasts longer than just the day unlike some other quick fix 'massages' I have experienced at other places. The place is simple, I find it charming, nothing fancy, just my cup of tea. I've gone twice so far and as Iong as I will be living in Massachusetts, I will keep coming to the hotspot, because my body thanks me for it. THANK YOU MARCELLA!!

Jennifer made my super nervous self feel excellent and carefree throughout my entire shoot. I am a very self conscious person and she made sure to work around my inhibitions and get the best shots. She took well over 200 pictures and made the reveal process so easy for me with her patience. My session came with hair and makeup however hair wasn't needed as it can only be styled one way and make up I can't stand but gave her make up artist a chance. While I didn't like the make up (which was most likely solely my opinion because I don't ever wear make up) Jennifer made sure to tone down the make up so I was able to enjoy the pictures she took without seeing the make up I disliked. All in all I found Jennifer and her studio experience to be nothing short of amazing and I will absolutely be returning to do another shoot with her soon. 10/10 recommend you do the same!!
