I always come out of their place feeling more aligned and relaxed than when I went in. Even when they're straight-out busy ( which is most of the time ) Michelle and the rest of the professionals and staff there are always polite, attentive to your condition, and genuinely friendly. I'd used Heppner Chiro 9 years ago after a car accident laid me up. It was nice having the same massage therapist I used previously, ( Bob ), still be there along with the business owner & primary chiro, ( Michelle H ). The only change was that they'd gotten a larger more updated office. Seems they always appear up there in the top ratings of the annual Best Of C'ville.

Years ago I had two really bad chiropractic experiences several years apart. The first bad one was…read morewhen the practitioner did a very forceful manipulation on my back when I was lying face down ..... for whiplash after being rear ended in my car. This lead to an excruciatingly painful fractured rib.....at a time I was quite fit and not prone to that kind of injury. The other bad experience I had was overseas when I was seeking help for lower back pain after a fall that I believed misaligned me. This practitioner was a very hurried impatient sort who didn't prepare me well for his manipulation which he did sloppily, standing behind, lifting me up and simultaneously pulling me backwards. The outcome of that awful adjustment was severe upper back pain ....and a solemn promise to myself never to attend a chiropractor again. I would have stuck to that promise to myself too if it weren't for my husband appealing to me to try Megan Custer for my upper back pain (because she has been helping him so much). Now I'm here to report I'm so relieved and glad husby persisted. Megan Custer truly has done wonders for me. This is all thanks to her knowledge, strength, great listening skills, ability to adapt her chiropractic manipulations and that she can do the Koren Specific Technique (this doesn't involve any chiropractic manipulations ) which I found really helpful at times I didn't want manipulations. Long story short, if you are suffering any neck, shoulder, back, rib, joint, foot, and hand, ailments, and live in or near Charlottesville I say do yourself a favor: Call lovely Emily at Ivy Commons and make an appointment with one of CVille's best healers.

Will definitely go back, and refer her to others.
