The quality of the fish here is pretty good. I can eat the salmon all day long. However, I prefer the tuna/maguro/ahi better Hawaii and Japan. If I had to compare the type of restaurant this is to one at home it would be like a Sushi Bay it KuruKuru where they have sushi in plates going around the bar on little boats. You can also order sashimi plates and food from the kitchen. The reason I keep coming back here is because the sushi/sashimi seems to satisfy my cravings and the service is great. A few of the staff members already know my order when I walk in the door! I usually get the salmon sashimi plate, salmon avocado handroll, and chicken! FYI: Credit cards accepted, street parking available, delivery available.

Although there was a few free tables, we were told that it would not be possible because they were already reserved. The service has really declined over the past year and they are not as customer friendly as they used to be. When we told them we are going to leave they couldn't have cared less. I won't be coming to this restaurant again and u shouldn't either. There are plenty more restaurants with excellent service in Darmstadt, Su chin sadly isn't one of them.

We order there occasionally for lunch and we have yet to receive an order with everything in it. Probably our interns fault - he could check there to make sure everything is included - but in the rush it happens. I live in Washington, D.C. Therefore, I eat sushi.... And I mean I eat a lot of it. In fact, I eat a lot of sushi from very authentic and highly skilled restaurants. This restaurant was neither of any form of decent quality nor authentic. I mean for 12 euros per a person I can't complain too much. However, I was just completely floored at their poor service and poor food quality. I also found hair in their food and when I told the staff they were so rude towards me. This place is not worth your time!!! It's a big no no. I can't believe they have customers. I am thinking because the sushi presence in this city is so poor, they are able to stay afloat.

However, for this price point you can't complain since it is in a busy center.

Usually I try to avoid any sushi restaurant with less than a full 4 star review ranking, but is was pleasantly surprised. We ended up going on a Friday evening after making a reservation earlier in the week. The reservation required a €10 per person deposit due to to the amount of no-shows. However, the deposit went towards the bill in the end, but it was a little weird when it was time to pay because the bill was lumped together. I'm not sure if they couldn't split the bill, or if it wasn't asked, but make sure you ask beforehand if that's something important to you. When we arrived we were greeted and seated quickly, which was nice. The inside of the restaurant had well spaced tables and each table had a divider shielding it from the adjacent table. It took a few moments of waiting before we got our drinks ordered, but I'm starting to think that's the German restaurant way. Once we ordered everything came out pretty quickly. The menu was really extensive and had a lot to offer. It was nice to see options for people that may not want sushi. I ordered the chicken gyoza (not pictured), ebi tempura roll, and the king crab inside out roll. I would have preferred shrimp gyoza, but they were out, but the chicken was really good. The rolls were tasty as well. I wanted to order more but I was stuffed. My group mates ordered the dragon roll, chicken with curry and veggies, the almond crusted duck, and one of the sashimi plates not pictured). Everyone finished all of their food so I assume it was delicious. I noticed some uncovered soup toppings and a few gnats hovering which could be problematic for some, but honestly it's not enough to keep me from going back again. The staff members were really welcoming, and attentive. Overall I had a great experience.
