This feedback is for the owner regarding an employee and NOT the food (which has been always good). The young man at the counter, while very efficient, speaks simply way too fast when taking orders over the phone or picking up orders in person. I can barely respond in time until he speaks again or asks the question over. I asked him to slow down when picking up an order today. He said okay, but kept speaking at rapid machine gun rate. Here's the problem: He makes the customer feel rushed when there is no need. As a result, the customer interaction becomes unpleasant and even somewhat disrespectful. I know that's not his intention, but I can tell you that I would prefer to speak to another person if that option is available. I was picking up at an order around 11:30 am on Wednesday morning and there was only one another customer who was waiting for her pickup order. The restaurant was empty. This place will always have a special place in my heart. Whenever I'm craving Chinese food, this is the first place that comes to mind and the one I always go back to. The food is consistently great, the portions are huge, and the prices are very affordable. One of the main reasons we keep coming back is Leo. His service is amazing -- always friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. He really makes the dining experience even better and makes you feel taken care of every time. The restaurant does get packed during lunch and dinner, which just shows how good the food is. If you want a more relaxed visit, I recommend going around 2 PM, which is usually when we come. The food I was craving today was spicy food. The most loved dish has to be the hot, spicy chicken and juicy pork xiao long bao these dishes satisfied that hunger for spice and heat. Not crazy hot for those who can't handle overly spicy food, but they do have an awesome kick, and the crunch on every bite of the popcorn chicken is satisfying. As the porn dumpling, it's a good starter for preparing for the popcorn chicken. The dumpling is bursting with a soft, delicate flavor, giving time to appreciate the craftsmanship behind it. The server was very informative and polite, even explaining what's popular if someone comes in with no idea what to order . The place is big and clean, perfect for family and friends gatherings. If you don't want to stay and just want to order takeout, I recommend trying the crunchy popcorn this is a definite must try. read more

I am in love. They remodeled the interior so it looks so nice now, before it looked total mom and pop. This is still my go to take out when I'm craving an Asian fix. We called them like 20 minutes before they closed and they still took our order! Love this place. The food is delicious! It's worth the extra money to pay. One of the few Chinese places open this week! The shrimp chow fun noodles were really good--very flavorful and loaded with lots of shrimp. The chicken or beef with broccoli was also tasty; a little on the salty side, but the meat was soft and well-cooked. They've been out of wonton soup for about a year, which is disappointing. Service is really quick, you order at the counter, and it's very clean inside. There is lots of parking available. Not too loud. Can hear each other talk :) read more

Portions are huge and reasonable for the price! The noodles are probably one of the best noddles I've tasted from a Chinese spot! Shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly and the spicy dumplings were delicious! My only concern would be that it is a little hard to order due to maybe the language barrier, I had to gesture a couple of times and repeat my order but other then that the service was quiet friendly. If you come around 2-4 it's a little less crowded, this was my second time coming and I will definitely come back and try new items from their menu! read more

Made a reservation, walked in and was seated right away. The ambience of the restaurant is really nice cozy place to eat. To drink we ordered Diet Coke, which was ice cold. For dinner we had lemon chicken, pan fried dumplings, and salt and pepper shrimp. The taste of the lemon chicken was really good, the salt and pepper shrimp was amazing and was very tasty. I love the pan fried dumplings as a side order I like to eat. Our waiter Leo was very friendly and nice. He gave us hot and sour soup and Diet Coke on the house. We ate here for the first time. The place is clean, but pretty basic atmosphere. The service was excellent. We ordered the salt and pepper prawns and a lunch special of sesame chicken. All the food came out steaming hot. The prawns were a generous portion, had a very nice flavor but unfortunately had a VERy thick batter, I was expecting a light batter with cornstarch, as was depicted in The photo and is how I've had it in other restaurants, so that was disappointing. I had to peel off a lot of the batter. The sesame lunch special was a huge portion of white meat, and was very good. We also enjoyed the egg flower soup that also had tofu in it which I liked a lot. We would definitely go back again, they had a large menu, but will stay away from the deep fried prawns. read more

We ordered take out from Hai Master. I ordered on the phone it was ready in 20 min A+! Can't give a thorough review until o try more dishes. We got the beef broccoli and appetizer spring rolls. Both were very good no complaint. The beef dish could have used a bit more beef, definitely heavy on the broccoli but it was very tasty. The sauce was very good not too heavy was well balanced. Both meat and broccoli were cooked nicely with right amount seasoning and tender meat. I will go back to try more dishes but a bit pricey for amount I would have enjoyed steam rice with the dish. I thought it was a bit pricey not to add it on the side. It did feed two people though again heavy on broccoli. read more

One killer item that isn't on the menu is Moo Shu Chicken: tasty and clean (for those watching what they're eating), the Dan Dan noodles are top notch, the garlic green beans are a great side dish with an of the dishes, and all the chicken items are excellent. The food here sits somewhere with uber traditional Chinatown-type (stronger) seasoning and more mainstream (moderate) palate sensitive seasoning. The menu is ample. The dining area has plenty of seating for couples or big families and the restaurant is very clean. Leo is the star of the show here. Not sure how he does it, but he's a presence there, every day. He's super friendly, outgoing, gets to know his customers - this is a hang for locals and always super busy - don't let that keep you from stopping by. You'll keep coming back. read more

Chris is Mandarin and he couldn't eat them either. The food was average at best. I don't eat at Panda, but Panda Express is better. Don't waist your time or money here. read more

Most everything else was worth trying but I think the key with this place is to go when it's not too busy. I am a long time customer. Used to love coming to this place several times a week. Recently, the new cashier is so rude and it seems like it takes much longer to prepare the food. I called to place an order and the cashier was extremely rude again. Why did they hire him?? It used to just take 10-15 minutes. Now I show up 25 minutes later and they still make me wait which NEVER happened. I was happy for the price and service. We have a HUGE family and they were able to accommodate us, no sweat. We took up two tables on a Saturday afternoon. Servers were courteous (our host Leo was so kind), answered all of our questions about different dishes, and accommodated our myriad requests. Including a request for a high chair. Service at traditional Chinese restaurants is notoriously bad, but Leo at Hai Master Kitchen goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is pretty solid. They do a good job with spicy fish dishes like Szechuan Style Spicy Fish Fillet. I had tried the Fish Fillet with Preserved Vegetables and was surprised to find that it was spicy (there was no indication on the menu), while the Fish Fillet with Pepper and Black Bean Sauce wasn't (though it was supposed to be). My husband, who does not like eggplant, enjoyed the Eggplant with Tofu, which is really saying something. Portions are pretty generous and we were able to get a couple of meals out of our order. Chow mein and potstickers were pretty standard - though the potstickers definitely tasted like they were housemade, including the wrapper, which was nice.
