If you want to be conscientious about the meat you eat, both from a health and an ethical point of view, then Hagens is a great option in the Queen Vic Market. Despite being small, they have a wide selection of meats from chicken thigh on the bone, special cuts of steak and even bacon. We have been buying meat here for a few weeks now in an attempt to eat better quality meat in smaller portion sizes. Hashtag smugtrolley.
What really stands out here is the super friendly service. There's none of that agressive yelling you get at some of the other stalls, and the staff make a point of really being present when you're deciding what to buy. It really does make a difference in the buying experience.

I honestly had to check his receipt when we got home because I didn't believe it cost that much! Just as well the meat is great quality and delicious hey? read more
