Hackett makes well-tailored, classically-inspired, yet modern British clothing. It is basically the British version of Ralph Lauren, which is the American version of classically-inspired, yet modern British clothing. It is kind of a circular reference, but whatever.
Hackett often goes with a theme with their individual locations. For example, on Jermyn Street, the home of eponymous shirt makers Thomas Pink, Hilditch & Key, and T.M. Lewin, the Hackett store is is about 70% dress shirts, ties, suits, and topcoats. At the Regent street location, which is less than a half a mile away, is about 70% casual clothes.
So, when I wanted to buy a polo shirt, I came to this location on Regent Street, which has a great selection of casual clothing. The staff here was very friendly and all were dressed like they stepped out of a scotch ad. They dug around the storage area to find my exact size and I was on my way. read more
