I was in ER for a food poisoning last Spring, but I was not given a fair care. I asked for a Dr. number of times, but nurse in ER just ignored me. One particular nurse had a sharp tone " I AM TOO BUSY!!" I asked for a room, but was denied and my stretcher was placed right front of a door, and a nurse station, where people reached out for urine cups and other supplies. After a few hours, I had one bag of IVY (I did not want any medication) and was released. Few months later, I received a bill of $3,380.07. In my discharge paper, it states " Diarrhea", but in my bill, it states " ER VS LEVEL IV W/PR" : Level 4 or 5 is life threatening condition. and for this service, they billed me $2,993.55. For months, I requested details and explanation of my bills, yet they have never got back to me as of today, October 12, 2015. Instead, I received a collection agency invoice. I did pay a small amount, since June 2015 every months. I can not begin to tell you how disgusted I am with the treatment I received and with the bill Hackensack UMC Mountainside sent. I have a high deductible and ER is not cover until I meet certain amount of HIGH deductible. I am not ABLE to pay this high bill. (not to mention a SEPARATE bill sent by ER Dr. $915.00)
Would someone please give me explanation on these line items on my bill?!
