Invited by a friend, both of us are Veterans, so the rate seemed like a great price for the full 18 holes. Upon arriving it looked like an honest, everyday golf course...then I walked inside to pay. I couldn't believe the racket these golf courses in North Jersey are operating and robbing the golfers to play on these substandard municipal golf courses. The whole "County Resident Card" system is just a scam to make everyone pay more than they should...Central & South Jersey doesn't rip off their customers regardless of what county. Don't get me started on the cart fees. The staff wasn't the most welcoming...you'll think they were court ordered to work there, instead of working somewhere where people go to enjoy themselves! I wanted to ask them "What time are they due back in Boys town?" Rodney Dangerfield (Caddy Shack) The course itself was average, good for beginners or youth players. The front 9 has an open terrain layout, straightforward with no elevation with some water hazards. The back 9 is not so open and has tighter layout due to more holes having narrow tree-flanked fairways. Several of the tee boxes were in bad shape; not sure if its from poor drainage, pest, disease, or weed issues. Additionally, it can be due to inadequate maintenance (mowing/aeration). FYSA, a couple of holes on the back 9 is a stones throw away from freight train tracks, so you may get an unpleasant surprise on a tee box or on a green. It appears the course does not handle the rain well. Inadequate drainage due to the fact a few fairways were saturated from the previous day rain storm. It may be due this course borders a large reservoir. After paying an arm and leg, recieving lack luster customer service from the "Pro Shop" & Ranger Riders, and substandard course conditions...I'm out to seek better golf courses around the area before return to this spot.

I have never encountered a problem with front office staff at other course-most are typically friendly and jovial. Not the case at Soldier Hill. The front office is snappy and abrasive. I see the other reviews about this front office and I am not alone. Not sure why the county allows such a rude person to deal with the public. It really dampers a day in which you are just trying to have a nice day to play golf.

So I found this indoor golf place less than a mile and a half away from my dad's place. It was nice, clean cozy and the staff friendly! I had a chance to meet the owner named Gary and he gave me the walk through. I decided to on his recommendation to play Bethpage since I am in the East Coast right! The bay is bigger than most indoor simulators which is really nice and the layout and comfort is top notch. The indoor temp was perfect as well! I played my round in less than an hour and shot a 93!!!!! I settled down toward the end but it was too late lol! 51 front and 42 back...I could have easily shot in the 80s. I almost wanted to play another round. My driver was wayyyy off today! The owner's father said it was A tough course, so I will take it! What can I say, I loved it! I can see myself coming here regularly during winter once I move back and what a convenience that it is close to home! Price is right and it was nice to see a bunch of regulars. It had a family kind of feel to it and that earns my business. So if you are 12 handicap golfer like myself (I blew it today), scratch golfer or just a hack, I urge you to take your swing down to Go Low Golf! I love finding cool places like this, that are truly gems!

Another time we were there for an oyster night. Excellent. We also decided to order from the dinner menu. Most of the clientel here is Japanese, so the menu reflects that. If you are trying to have a fun time, do not come here. What a waste of my time, only good part was it was only 30 bucks.

From the first time we toured the venue to every decision in between, Taylor and the rest of the team at Edgewood catered to every single one of our requests leading up to our wedding. Taylor made the entire planning process feel effortless. From the second we arrived onsite for our first tour of the venue, Taylor made us feel welcomed. She was patient, answered all our questions and explained everything so well. After that, making the decision to pick Edgewood for our venue and have Taylor be our wedding coordinator was an absolute no brainer. Taylor conducted herself with the utmost professionalism throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was extremely responsive with emails, kept detailed notes from our meetings, and really helped paint the perfect vision for our perfect day. We had a few customization requests (i.e., meals for picky eaters, gifts for guests, etc.) and she made sure that all of them were fulfilled. Even with the last-minute changes, she handled them with ease and made it seem like it was the plan all along. Taylor exemplifies what it means to be a master of her craft and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The private tasting was one of the highlights of the wedding planning process. Edgewood offered a private tasting where we had the opportunity to taste the food with both sets of parents. It made the experience truly special that we had the opportunity to share this event with our parents. The chefs, staff and property coordinator came out to meet us as well and again, cannot emphasize enough how great they are. Their commitment to service shines and it followed through for the day of. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch and the Edgewood staff executed flawlessly. We didn't have to think, we just did. Taylor, Gigi and team did all the thinking for us and all we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. The bridal and groomsman suite were set up perfect, and they made it a great place for us to relax and get ready for the wedding. The venue looked spectacular. We had around 220 guests and felt that everyone had plenty of room and did not feel cramped even in the slightest. Last but certainly not least, the food. The food throughout the whole day was exquisite. Our guests are still raving about how delicious it was and how everything was so nicely presented. The drinks were also delicious and Taylor and team made sure that the bar was sufficiently staffed, with very few lines so our guests could get right back to enjoying themselves. If you are looking to have your wedding in New Jersey, you should look no further than Edgewood Country Club. We hosted our 5 year olds birthday party here and everything was excellent!! We chose the 10am-…read morenoon party so we could have the entire place to ourselves. The party hostesses (Sophia and Madison) were excellent and were engaged with the kids the entire party and did an excellent job setting up all of the food. They allowed us to bring in some of our own food as well. The place is super clean and well maintained and it was a relaxing atmosphere having it to ourselves especially with little ones. Kudos to the staff they were so great - will definitely go back.
