    Thesis project idea brainstorming
    Dennis L.

Easily the best decision of my life. I really believe this is how CS program should be done, even that I already finished one just before Hack Reactor. While lots of alumni have commented on the well-structured curriculum. I would like to highlight more about how the environment and people here can really help you succeed on your software engineering career development. Instructors, mentors, Hacker in Residence...etc. There are so various resources and routes you may approach when there is any doubts. Students make immediately impact to the curriculum and the experience. Feedback sessions were held every other day. Issues usually would be solved several hours after them being addressed. The admissions team done a great job on finding the right fit for the program. Every single person in Hack Reactor I worked with was super bright and thirst for knowledge. If you have an opportunity to do this, you are very fortunate and don't hesitate. Happy hacking!

Getting in some practice with interview questions

I've never been so engaged, for so long, in my life. Hack Reactor has an exceptional approach to education that keeps you constantly learning on your feet, throwing multiple new challenges and technologies at you simultaneously. Prepare to be thrown in the deep end, in the best way possible. And it's not just web tech - Hack Reactor also teaches strong CS fundamentals. I've already surprised a few close friends in the industry with the depth of knowledge they teach about data structures and algorithms. In addition to learning at an insane pace, in the latter half of the program (and beyond) we also receive great support in perfecting our portfolios, working on fantastic projects, and interview practice. Best of all, the people in my cohort are fantastic - everyone is intelligent and effective, yet fun and supportive.

There are 3 labs and the teacher for the labs had no clue about ekg material and was not even aware we would be there so we just practiced and taught each other. More than half the ekg students didn't even get their books. Lots of confusion, inconsistency, and no preparation even though they're charging and advertising it as such. A lot of the material on the ekg nha exam was not in the course, thank god I studied externally with external resources. Met with an externship counselor before the course ended. Made an appt with him which he no showed. Kept trying to email, call, reach out, get more info, and they can't give a range of how long it will be or any information really other than the externship isn't available even though they've reached out to barely two hospitals. It's been two months with no word of an externship, cannot get a hospital job or any job without it. Very disappointing /: not sure why they advertise the externship when it's an essential part of the program being relevant enough to find any job in the field. Highly recommend looking into other options.

If you are going to do this, know that you will not have advocates on your side here. I passed the exam and completed my externship but only with the assistance of friends from outside the program. Midway through the second cohort they let go of the intructor and the new instructor made it cleat that she normally does not teach as she is the curriculum producer, not the instructor. When I finally finished the lab portion of the class (the second time). their externship program process would not be able to place me anywhere for close to two months. I reached out to some folks who helped me get placed sooner but it ended up being a two hour drive daily (each way) for the month long externship. When I finished all aspect of the program, it was made clear to me that despite having already paid for the program in full prior, I would have to pay for the second time around in full before they released my certificate and testing. This place is a terrible choice for anyone looking for a supportive environment to learn a skillset. Avoid it at all cost.

I did the 8-week course and they increased my intelligence and I am eternally grateful for them doing that. They increased my confidence & allowed me to build social connections with both fellow students and instructors. I want to thank everyone that helped me because not only did they believe in me but they also motivated me to be a better human being, full of compassion & willingness to assist during emergencies. Steve Albright is the lead instructor and he is gifted at teaching and he is hilarious with his style of teaching. This man is very much a father figure and someone I learned a lot from aside from the medical material, he is truly a pleasure to be around and he lifts up peoples' spirits even though everything can be stressful. Michael believed in me and expressed it in a way that I can never thank enough. I value my newly acquired friendship with Michael and I definitely felt his passion for teaching and "his" love for his students. He is a great instructor who I am proud to have been guided by in this process of becoming a Emergency Medical Technician. He believed in me more than I believed in myself and that is something that money cannot buy. Henry taught me so much and gave me a platform to grow and thrive upon. He was so amazing at teaching and building confidence without putting pressure and it allowed for one to practice like they would in "real-life", therefore it is impossible for me to thank him enough. Nav guided me in situations that are stressful her guidance in tough scenarios which is something I will never forget. Her military expertise is something that I admire and will never forget her words and they will stick with me forever. She also enlightened me with potential career opportunities for someone like me, she did this for all of the students and I'm 100% positive that everyone gained confidence from her insight. Kristian was an amazing instructor who sharpened my skills with his style of teaching. He really helped cement my confidence and that is something I truly needed and value. I know that he didn't just want me to succeed but to also help the patients/people that we serve. The time that we spent together was not nearly enough because he had so much more to give and I had so much more to learn from him, however the time that we did spend was maximized and as I mentioned I am forever grateful for his time and energy. Patrick is like a friend who I have known my entire life and he is a wise teacher who made the learning experience more enjoyable and he reminded me why I am even doing this in the first place. He reminded me of my core values and the type of person I want to be, which is compassionate, sociable, and an intelligent leader who can get things done under pressure. This man is a person that everyone likes to be around and that is something I wish to emulate. Overall, this has been a life changing course unlike any other course that I have taken. I truly cherish these people and they are all heroes which deserve everything that life has to offer because they are doing it from the heart. I am proud to be a Bay Area Training Academy graduate and I will do my best to represent them as I move forward in my life. They are truly all beautiful souls who deserve nothing but the best and coming to the academy was one of the best decisions of my life. I feel more equipped to handle family emergencies as my elders age around me and in my daily life. I am excited to continue my education and these are people that I want to keep close to me. I feel like i found my "people"/tribe. I cannot wait for what the future brings and: Thank you for everything BATA, I love all of you! Sincerely, Raul Angel Maravilla (EMT212AL)

Hey Everyone!!!! OMG…read more- so today I had to re-exam to renew my CNA license. Which was a bummer, because I did not know how to obtain the correct CEU's. I was so nervous, because I haven't took this state exam in 2 years, and I did not know if it was going to be with others, a large size class or anything... just going in blind. I remember when I had took my exam 2 years ago for the first time, I was with my classmates. However, I got here very early. I was the first to arrive. Later, I was greeted and welcomed by a beautiful nice woman name Mrs. Drusilla. She opened up at Vasco Career College, and she then opened the for for me and told me to come inside to have a seat. I was so nervous you guys, and she was very nice it sort of soothed my demeanor. I then checked in with her to begin my written exam first, I explained to her how nervous I was and this was for my renewal. She literally turned to me and looked in my eyes, and stated, " you will be fine ". I honestly felt like this was a sign from god. I then took my exam, in a very quiet room, she went over everything for me in full detail. The rooms were spacious, clean and organized. After, it was time to take my skills exam. Again, y'all, very nervous and I sat in another room, (room C ), while another student finished their skills exams. Once, this student was close to finished, I was asked to be the patient for them. I was introduced to my Proctor, she was so sweet and pleasant. Her name was Mrs. Bella, she reminded me of a sweet family member you just hug when you see them. After, I helped the other student, it was my turn, my pulse was going a 1000x per sec. She told me to calm down, again, nice and pleasant. I finished and felt so good about my outcome with taking both my exams here just due to their personalities and how nice they were. This helped me in ways they will never know I needed, just them being kind. I have not received my results yet, or do not know if I passed, but I wanted to share with everyone a great place to come take you exams and also.... * As I was leaving, Mrs. Drusilla heard me state I was renewing my CNA license and she informed me on next time, what to do in order to receive my continuing education credits, to qualify for approval from California Department of Health. THEY HAVE A WEBSITE, www.cnabase.com ONLINE, and they offer the in person CEU's in person at their school. You guys I could have cried right there. Renewing my license was the hardest thing ever for me, and I felt like it should have not been. I asked everyone and no one could give me the correct information on where to go or how to obtain your continuing education credits. So, I want to share with everyone so they do not go through what I went through, the panic, stress, and anxiety on having to take the state exam over.... you can take these CEU's with them!!! DON'T WALK, RUN TO THEIR CAMPUS.. THEY OFFER SEVERAL OTHER CLASSES AS WELL, CHECK THEM OUT!!!!

It is preposterous that no online alternatives are offered or exceptions to be made to the graduation criteria during a time of a global health crisis. I especially appreciated the AI Product Management course, which provided a clear survey of AI development frameworks, useful background on the technology, and space to think through real implications of applying AI techniques to both existing and new products. The Product Leaders course was another highlight, building on the Foundations course by going deeper into leadership, business modeling, financial modeling, metrics, and more. The discussions and instructor insights were consistently the most valuable part of the experience. Overall, I found the subscription well worth the investment. Why not five stars? While the curriculum is strong, Product School could get even better by deepening the material. I would love to see twice the number of discussions and case studies, ideally with real-world data. That would let PMs truly practice and sharpen their skills. Currently, the cases are accessible but often too abstract; striking a better balance between accessibility and realism would make the experience more impactful. That said, I recommend Product School to anyone looking to grow their product management skills and leadership capabilities--it's a valuable program, and with a bit more depth, it could be unbeatable.
