One of the top and most consistently interesting thrift stores in the Omaha area. What have I found…read morehere? More like what HAVEN'T I found here. New Life Thrift really has it all. Piles of vinyl records, cassette tapes, great shirts, sunglasses, bowling shoes, gym equipment, artwork, bric-a-brac, furniture, jewelry and even antiques. Yeah that might all sound like junk to you, and some of it is, but I love it all. Plus this store is huge and always has plenty of "new" stuff for me to rummage through on each visit. My wife loves NLT as well, especially for finding good books, shoes and vintage dresses. The prices are comparable to Goodwill, Sal Army and Thrift World. Still you'll find some real steals from time to time. If you're like me and love thrifting, visiting NLT regularly is a must. And no pics on Yelp? What gives? I'll fix that soon enough.

My friend found quite a few James Patterson books and I found a couple of nice lamps. They also had a decent amount of furniture and clothes to choose from. Dropping off donations is really easy here too. There was someone there to count my friends bags when we pulled up and they gave her a receipt for taxes.

Time to update since this Goodwill location has moved into the former Canfield's space since 2015…read more I have mixed feelings about donating here since I'm not entirely sure it's "not-for-profit". The conundrum is that when you are looking to get rid of stuff quickly, it's super convenient - you just roll up and someone is there to help you unload your vehicle. Today I ventured in to look for some children's books to fill a free little library my company maintains. The books were .99 each which isn't bad unless you need a whole bunch. The place was actually really crowded for a summer Saturday afternoon. The merchandise was organized well by size, color, holidays, etc. They had many brand new items - for example a full set of sheets for $19.99. However, as I have seen on IG these days, there is a big markup on some items. There was a small Fossil brand purse that was pretty beat up going for $24.99! That would be unheard of back in the day. I'm sure one could find some great buys for cheap but that requires some time commitment sifting thru the stuff. Overall, I'm glad they are here although I donate my most prized items to other places.

I always have better luck, and feel like there is a wider variety of clothing options here versus other stores. I think thrift world in general is the best thrift store for clothing in town, but I especially like this location as it isn't as crowded as some other others others. I also appreciate that there's a donation drop off container behind the store!

The staff were extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions and prices were very fair. The store itself is quite large and was simple to maneuver through even with a stroller. I was fortunate enough to go on a sale day, so my finds were even cheaper! One of the highlights for me was how inexpensive their children's books were (I believe they were 3 for $1). Will definitely be returning!

Although the space is big, they have so much that the aisles are pretty tight. My only complaint is that there is only one dressing room for the whole store, so you can expect to wait in line for this. I do appreciate that they have a bathroom on site and available to the public. The cashiers were very nice and personable--they are always friendly, no matter what location I go to! Out of all the thrift stores in Omaha this one by far has the biggest selection of clothing I've found. I need to come back in soon!!
