I enrolled my 3month old daughter in…read morethe baby-and-me class with Brittany and though I liked her a lot, I didn't realize how great she was until I switched over to the Smithtown location (simply out of convenience since we moved to a new home and my gym is next door). Brittany conducted a structured, educational class. She projected her voice and was very vocal. She provided reasons and educated us on why we do certain, repetitive movements with the babies and corrected our positioning when needed. She was assertive and instructional, with the perfect natural balance of gentle nurturing with the babies. I was happy to hand my 3month old daughter over to her to demonstrate moves and my daughter felt very comfortable with her. Brittany kept the class synchronized and structured and I actually felt the with repetition after the few weeks, my daughter was developing and learning a lot. Now that my daughter is 5 months and enrolled at the Smithtown location, the baby-and-me instructor couldn't be any further from the opposite. While she is nice and very gentle, there is no structure and feels more like an "open-swim" free-for-all. There is another male instructor that I often see doing private lessons. He is good with offering recommendations and correcting the positioning of the babies or technique. He seems like he would be a good instructor, but I don't know first hand. Both facilities are pretty well-maintained for the most part, and don't have a moldy odor. Though the lighting and paint color in the pool rooms could be better- something about it makes it feel dark and dingy. I don't think I'm going to re-enroll my daughter at Saf-T-Swim, as I'm considering a different type of swim instruction. Though, if I were to go back, it would only be with Brittany.

World Gym recently had…read moretheir RE-GRAND OPENING and what an event it was...There were all sorts of vendors there that could help you bring in the new year lookin' your best! The venue may not look big from the outside but surprise surprise...this gym has quite to offer. There's a pool, racquetball courts, group exercise rooms, two floors of equipment, and even a place to bring your kiddies while you get your workout on :) The staff are very friendly and it never seems to get to busy where you have to wait hours for a machine. The best part about this place is there is a physical therapy clinic inside of the gym!!! How awesome is that! Overall, World Gym is a great place to work out and people are real competitive when it come to racquetball (don't forget your goggles, safety first). If you need a place to start that new year's resolution to get fit & healthy...then get off your lil tush and get that "G" time! So Yelpers let's get this year started off right and keep those buns lookin' tight :)

My son came here for his bestie's birthday party and he had a blast. They had kick boards to splash around with and had life vests for all of the children. There is also a bathroom inside the pool area so you don't have to walk back inside dripping water everywhere when your little one has to go. This is a nice touch. The changing areas are plentiful and they have a large viewing area for parents not swimming with their child or for watching during lessons without being on the pool deck. Being that it was a party I think it would have been nice if they had a game or something to rally the kids together but it was more of a free for all to splash and play. There is also a table area with crayons and coloring sheets if you need a break from the water. Overall this place is bright, colorful and I would consider bringing my son here for swimming lessons in the near future.

Good service, good place its clean, organized and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Most specially the price is very reasonable for the service you are getting. A classic. Normal ice skating rink in suburbia…read more As a teen, we would all go to "Friday Night Skate" public skate. Food is basic, but there are plentyyyy of vending machines. You can get things from new laces to Gatorade. I think there might be a claw game also. A bunch of benches there to change. We used to leave our bag or sweatshirts there on busy days They have adjusted well to COVID-19 and have temperature checks and a form at entry. I appreciate that as many places do not so temperature checks at all. The gentleman working at the on-site skate shop was very friendly and helped a lot. He sized my foot and gave me 3 boots to try on. Turns out I have a wide foot according to the Reidell sizing guide and I never knew. He didn't put pressure on me to purchase immediately, but I will be back! They also sell some apparel which is cute.

He is always encouraging and never puts the kids down ever. He challenges them while simultaneously encouraging and teaching them the proper way. He lifts their confidence up and lets anyone know and feel that they can Learn to Dive. He is always reliable, sweet, professional, organized and affordable. It doesn't matter if your a beginner or an advanced diver or one who just wants to get back into it. He is about each persons individual goals and success and instilling a "can do" attitude. He instills a team effort and his energy is always positive. My daughter is always stressed out with school and diving is one of the only times she's relaxed, happy and calm.
