I thought I was coming to her for "fitness pilates" but in fact that is not what I needed or wanted. With her keen eye, intuition, and experience she has identified ways in which my body was compensating that really could have developed into major issues when I get older. I am so happy to be working on them now with her to prevent long term issues. All while still developing muscle and definition that pilates naturally brings. Anna provides exceptional instruction, in that she gives wonderful cues and explains the movements incredibly well. I have done pilates before coming to Anna, but she goes the extra mile with helping me to understand exactly how to do the movement. The way she corrects me is one of things I value the most about her. I can do pilates at home, but I know I will be doing a lot of things wrong. With her I can learn how my body is unconsciously compensating for certain weaknesses or ingrained movements, i.e., gripping my glutes, using one leg more than the other, tucking my pelvis, flaring my ribs, etc. In learning these I can feel more confident in my ability to do home workout's when I do have the opportunity to do them. I have also worked with Sonja and Lynn before Anna and I can say that they are exceptional as well and I look forward to working with them when Anna is not available. Everyone at Synergy Studio is warm and welcoming. Kim will greet you with the biggest smile when you walk in. I am not one of those people who just love to work out, but going to the studio is one of my favorite times of the day.

I'll admit I pick JOI because they are the Dr.s to Jags. I mean if professional athletes trust them…read morewith their injuries I can't go wrong. I started with Dr. Yurio and after a few sessions of physical therapy ordered an MRI. Turns out I completely tore my ACL and part of my meniscus. I was presented with my options and ultimately decided to have surgery to repair my injuries. I was transferred to Dr. Kaplan and he again presented me with my options. I decided to continue moving forward with the surgery. At no time was I pressured into having the surgery. For my lifestyle and health it made sense to move forward. Fast forward to surgery day - The surgery center is in the same building and is well maintained. I was introduced to several people who would be participating in the surgery and each one confirmed with me why I was there. It was clear patient care and safety was a top priority. Follow up appointments were a breeze. They email any paperwork required prior to the appt. And after check in the most I ever waited was 5 mins in the big waiting room or in the actual room. I saw either the PA and Surgeon during these appts. Both were professional and never made me feel rushed and felt comfortable asking questions. I was in and out in less than 30 mins from check in to check out. I had a positive experience from start to finish with this group of Dr.s and would recommend them. There are several Dr.s with different specialties available. I did see one of the foot Dr.s several years ago, can't recall his name, and did not have the same positive experience.

Or they may not even be at the desk. They hate their jobs and you can tell. Awful awful awful. Management has got to step in. Now Elizabeth the PT here is amazing. From looking around, and seeing the other Therapists I would say she's the absolute best. The other therapists are young and don't have any patients hardly ever. I think there are 3 good PTs here and Elizabeth is definitely one of them. Seriously, Elizabeth is amazing. I would only go to her. Only. The management really needs to do something about the younger therapists and front staff. It's bothersome. They're arrogant and if they don't want to be there they don't need to be. It ruins everything there. I see them work with people and they are not happy. This review would be 5 for Elizabeth. Front desk staff ruins it.

Heartland Rehabilitation Services of Florida, Ortega is a place I would never recommend to anyone…read more Here is why; First, the receptionist there does not call you back when she says she will. She was having difficulty running the correct insurance information, which isn't uncommon with my insurance, but she told me on two different occasions that she would call me back BEFORE I had my first official appointment for PT. I had to call her an hour before my appointment to see if she had any further luck with my insurance. She hadn't, but told me to come into my appointment anyway and that I would NOT be charged for this visit because we had conflicting information with my insurance, and would get payments figured out the following week until my next appointment. To be clear, my initial evaluation was free (through a promotion with a community partner) and my first official appointment was SUPPOSED to be free, as that was what the receptionist told me before I came in to the first official PT appointment, until we could get things figured out with insurance. Then, upon arrival I'm told I would be seeing an alternative employee instead of the clinical director as I should have been at this particular appointment. My appointment was at 11am, and when I arrived the receptionist told me that director called out at 6am because of a family emergency. I understand having to call out for your family, but the receptionist did not even call me (with plenty of time in the morning to do so) to ask me if I wanted to reschedule for a day when the director would be in to see me like she was supposed to. After my appointment had concluded with the alternative therapist, the receptionist & I agreed to figure things out with insurance in the next week and go from there. I ended up deciding not to continue care at Heartland and found an alternative therapist instead. The problem is, I left my first appointment thinking I didn't owe anything because of what I had been told, when in fact they billed my insurance $350 and my insurance paid $157 of that out of the health care account in my mother's name, of which I am under. I had absolutely no knowledge of this until we found out from our insurance what had been taken out of the health care account, about a month later. Money of which my mother was relying on to use for my brother's expensive MRI costs, and now we are short that much more. Upon finding this out, I called the receptionist back and told her what had happened with being charged, and she once again told me she would call and found out what happened, and once again I never heard back from her. Whether the receptionists wording was poor or they were just plain dishonest, I will never be going back to Heartland Rehab, in any city or state, nor would I ever recommend it, but would instead tell them about my terribly handled experience there and why they should not waste their time or money there. Regardless of what ended up happening, the action that could've been taken for my inquiries was non existent, the customer service was horribly handled, and my short experience there has put me and my family through unexpected financial and mental stress because of the mishandling of my care. In conclusion, if you are looking for a physical therapist office that will keep their word, get back to you promptly, and give you the care you need for your ailments, this place is NOT for you.

Review for Nicklous Godley, PA -- Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute…read more this is my first review and I'm almost 70 years old I have been in chronic, excruciating hip pain since September 2024 and have been under JOI's care since November 2024. At my initial visit, I was diagnosed with bursitis and sent to Brooks Rehab for 11 sessions. After completing the rehab, I received no follow-up, no feedback, and no guidance on next steps. Months later, I found out my provider had quit -- but no one at JOI ever contacted me or continued my care. I was left in pain with nowhere to turn. Today, I had an appointment with Physician Assistant Nicklous Godley, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disheartening and unprofessional medical experiences I've ever had. From the moment he learned I wasn't ready to move forward with surgery, his demeanor completely changed. He became dismissive, cold, and disengaged. I explained that I've been waking up every night in pain and asked multiple times for him to complete an FMLA form so I wouldn't face consequences at work while trying to manage this condition. He refused, saying that I'm not a patient of his and that JOI would only consider FMLA after I scheduled surgery -- even though I've been with JOI for nearly a year. In the middle of the conversation, he did say, "I'm sorry this sounds so harsh," but by that point, the damage was done. His words and tone felt completely lacking in empathy. I came in desperate for relief and left feeling ignored and deeply disappointed. There is no continuity of care here, no accountability, and no real concern for what the patient is going through. I cannot recommend Nicklous Godley to anyone seeking compassion, understanding, or true medical support. I felt like he was a used car salesman if he wasn't gonna be able to close a deal by scheduling me with some sort of surgery! He brought up knee surgery back surgery and completely turn very rude and cold because I was not interested in surgery ! horrible experience today He asked and I quote "why are you here if you're not scheduling a surgery" Do your homework before you pick out this guy terrible experience Horrible bedside manner.

First off, the doctors and nurses here would get five stars easily. Every doctor and PA I've seen has been excellent, careful, willing to spend time explaining things. However...this facility has massive staffing issues. You literally cannot get anyone to answer the phone here. I showed up for a morning appointment recently, and the line to check in was 40 people deep, curling all the way around a pretty large room, with maybe three staffers actually working while the rest milled around. I had an afternoon appointment a couple months before that, and when I went to the lobby to check out and schedule a follow-up, there was literally one person working with ten patients waiting. I'm not sure what's going on, but they need to invest in hiring maybe twice as many folks to support the great doctors and nurses here. Otherwise this practice will grind to a halt.
