It slipped my mind because I always use a card and I don't really use cash and I haven't for the past few years. I woke up this morning and realized I forgot that twenty dollars. This walmart is on the way to my girlfriend's job. That's the reason i'm there all the time. I went in there before she went to work. And asked an employee about my situation. He suggested that I bring the receipt back. I went in this afternoon with the receipt, andthey had my twenty dollars. I was super polite, because I would have totally understood if somebody had found it and kept it. It turns out that an employee saw it and turned it in. They looked at the receipt and checked the security cameras verified it was me and gave me my twenty dollars. I really didn't expect to get the money back. I had to write them a good review for that. The guy whoever helped the most was named Peter but it wasn't pronounced with the hard r.

This commissary tends to have better options than the one on FT Sam. I have found a lot more of the staple items that I like to get, here at Randolph. Also, any of the times that I have shopped here have not been too crowded, which is nice. The store is very well stocked & clean. The layout is not too bad either & better than other commissaries that I have shopped in. Generally speaking, commissary pricing is usually close to what you would pay out on the normal economy, however I have seen some items that have been higher than say, Walmart or HEB. But, the trade off is that you're not paying tax on your groceries here, so it kind of evens out at times. I also appreciate the fact that the times that I have been here, the self-checkout line has not been insanely long. I imagine it probably can be though, depending on what time of day you are shopping. Fortunately, I live about equal distance between here & FT Sam, so I can easily go to either, since they both have different offerings. However, this will definitely be my go to.

Went to buy some Bittermelon as my friend told me they carry them here. I hadn't been here in years…read morebecause I remembered they had old, moldy Bittermelon. Well, they had some older Indian Bittermelon that was in the bin so I only took one piece. I found regular Bittermelon that wasn't old so I picked up a couple. I wanted to see what other veggies they had & saw round eggplant, fresh okra, fresh basil, onions, ginger, cauliflower that had some moldy pieces, Moringa bunches that were dry in some pieces & moldy in other parts & Kabocha type of cut squash in the cooler that also had random mold in some pieces. There were other fruits & veggies available in the cooler section & in boxes on the ground. Seemed like a lot of people came to shop when I came in on a Friday. I walked down the spice & tea aisle real quick just to see what they had, saw sacks of rice in another aisle & also saw freezer items in a cooler. I checked out & saw hot Samosas that a woman bought before me. The clerk rang me up & even though I picked out 1 piece of Indian Bittermelon & 2 pieces of regular Bittermelon, he charged me under "Indian Bittermelon".‍ If I'm in a pinch, I'll check the store out again once I find out when their produce delivery days are.
