This is hands-down the most inefficient, poorly run H-E-B in the Houston area. You can't even get a tank of gas without it being a complete ordeal. Many of the staff are woefully under trained and can't do things like basic math. There's also a lot of playing going on when there should be a lot more customer service going on. All that to say, it's a bad H-E-B. Your patience will be tried every visit. read more

Small neighborhood H-E-B located in a small city. Not to many options around so this is probably your best bet for a good deal. Parking lot is small and the inside is average. It seemed clean with only a few check out counters. However, everyone was very nice. The aisle to push the cart through to check out is super tight. I was a little surprised. We had water and many heavy items, so we asked for carry out. The young man helping us was very nice and friendly. The main reason to shop here is the great service and great prices! read more

I dislike this HEB because they don't have the meat in stock on sale that the other stores have, the employees are not as friendly as the other stores, and it's a small janky dirty pothole of a parking lot. There is no bakery, deli, bulk area - because it's small, so I tend to use the only other big store in town because it's just a cleaner bigger store with those options. Tear it down, build a decent one. read more

It's a nice place but it's definitely time to upgrade to a bigger store. It's hard to find things that you can find in the bigger stores. Not everybody wants to go to Walmart are Kroger's for everything. Alvin doesn't have a lot of shopping options available. read more

The store is a smaller store than most and always crowded, but service here is always good. Friendly faces with the staff. Helpful when you ask an employee questions. With as busy as this store is, and by their size, it really is a nice place to shop. Parking lot is a bit smaller than some of their other locations, but there is always a convenient space to park. I have shopped at the HEB Alvin Texas store on numerous occasions. IT IS THE CLEANEST store I have ever been in and the employees are first rate and extremely nice. UNFORTUNATELY the physical store itself is a total wreck because of its age. It is truly amazing the employees are able to keep their moral up and keep the store so clean considering the dilapidated run down condition of the physical facilities. They never have enough baggers to bag the groceries. It is ridiculous that I have to bag my own groceries but there are employees just hanging around. Why not just hire more baggers? Have one at each station. That would create better business. read more

Ok,HEB in Alvin Is my hometown grocery convenience store,I shop there everyday,i love this store because everything is easy to find and I like the deals they have and I come home with alot of grocerys for my money,today was a different experience,Usally at 1030 am they play nice soft oldies music,makes my shopping experience relaxing.well this morning on Thursday June 27th 2019 at 1030 am the music was terrible it was rapp music and I just felt like running out of the store yall have this new manager that just stands around with a frown always on his face,I have been shopping at your store for many many years,all your employees know me and are always helpful in everyway even if they are busy,but this guy is creepy and mean looking and plays crazy music in the early morning ,PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLDIES AND HIRE PEOPLE THAT ARE FRIENDLY CUZ THIS IS THE WAY I KNOW MY HEB.GET RID OF THAT MUSIC,NOT WHAT HE WANTS TO LISTEN TO,BUT WHAT THE COMMUNITY AND THE REGULAR SHOPPERS THAT COME IN EVERYFAY WANT TO SHOP TO,BRING BACK THE OLDIES PLEASE read more

I buy a lot of fruit from H.E.B. But I don't advise buying strawberries there. I picked up some last night and they looked beautiful and ripe but they had no taste other then tasting like water which leads me to believe they are injected with red dye. read more

One of the worst HEB's I've ever been in. Employees practically rolled carts over your feet to stock items. No meat counter, no deli and disarray everywhere. I saw bugs and roaches on the floors. Really not standards I'm used to with HEB read more

Its a pretty good store, one of the smaller HEBs. The staff are friendly, and they have a pretty good selection. The only real problem with the store is sometimes people will drop produce on the floor and the staff will pick it up and put it right back in with the rest of the produce without even dusting it off. Even after being there for hours. I'd be happy to shop there for anything but produce (unless its bagged or boxed). read more

Overall this store is a good store. I always shop there because it is a small store with personal service. Today, however, I placed all my things on the conveyer belt with the refrigeration items all in one place. That was a hint that I wanted them all in one bag but when I got home I discovered that there were cold items in all the bags. They were spread out. I was a front end manager for a grocery store for over 10 years and all the cashiers and sackers knew to bag the cold items all in the same bag or in several bags so they can be the first ones to go in the house and be put up. I was quite disappointed in today's visit. I also discovered much of the dairy section was empty and the cereal isle was blocked by racks of cereal just rolled out of the back room and parked in the isle. read more

I commute to Alvin from Montrose for work. Made the terrible decision to stop here on the way home. This place has nothing. Check out clerk made fun of me for buying red wine. We get it, no one wants to live in Alvin. Don't make the few citizens this town does have suffer with a POS HEB. My recommendation at the very least is to drive 10 minutes up 288 and go to the one in Pearland. read more
