His team did leave floor finish stains on the baseboards and my kitchen quartz counter walls, so heads up, don't forget to ask them to use painters tape if you're getting your hardwood floors sanded and refinished. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. I understand that things come up and he could be busy but the non-responsiveness for two weeks is clear.

Only negative, there is a male worker there (don't think he was Asian, maybe Hispanic, had dark facial hair, wearing a cap) that was following me and asking me if I needed help multiple times. (This was on 2 separate visits). But then it got creepy and inappropriate on my last visit when he asked for my phone number and put his hand on my arm. Clearly flirting, saying things like "pretty girl." Although his English was not perfect I understood his intentions and body language. I was so creeped out, I left immediately and never returned again. Ladies beware.

I visited Alibaba Cabinet in South El Monte and had a very negative experience. One staff member,…read moreKa-ie, demonstrated poor business ethics. She told me that the company does not accept credit card payments and insisted that I pay using Zelle. However, I later found out that the company does accept credit cards. I purchased kitchen cabinets, but when I opened the boxes, many of the pieces were damaged. In addition, the cabinet sizes did not match the measurements I had provided. I called Ka-ie multiple times and left several messages requesting replacements for the damaged items, but I never received a response. Eventually, I had to work with another staff member. Each exchange or replacement took an additional two days or more. There were repeated issues, including incorrect cabinet sizes, mismatched colors, wrong handles, and incorrect locks. These problems resulted in extra costs for me. I had to pay workers to repeatedly visit the store to return damaged items and pick up replacements. I also had to pay my cabinet installer for additional time and labor due to delays caused by the company. In addition, I personally made multiple trips to the store to exchange incorrect handles and locks. Overall, the repeated mistakes and delays were caused by inexperienced staff. Whenever I saw Ka-ie at the store, she avoided eye contact and acted as if she did not know me. In the end, I worked with another staff member, Cas--c. Although she had limited experience, she was at least willing to help. I was under significant pressure coordinating installation schedules with my workers. Due to delays in exchanging damaged cabinets, incorrect cabinet sizes, and wrong handles and locks, I had to pay additional costs to the installer. There were repeated problems caused by Alibaba's inexperienced staff, and the service I received was extremely poor. In addition, I had to purchase extra fillers to close the gaps between the cabinets because the measurements were done incorrectly due to Alibaba's inexperience with the design drawings. When I called Alibaba to place an order, I overheard Ka-ie quoting prices to another staff member while I was on the phone, and I was told the price was nonnegotiable. This made me very upset. I then shopped at a nearby store in El Monte and purchased the same type of fillers for half the price that Alibaba had quoted me. I also checked cabinet prices at that store and found they were selling the same cabinets. I became even more upset after realizing that the price I paid for the cabinets at Alibaba was significantly higher. My recommendation for this store: DO NOT BUY FROM OR DEAL WITH THEM.

If you are looking for a simple repair or a straightforward project, Eshed may be a great option…read more However, if you are looking for very utmost craft, precision (ie. 1/8" grout lines), working with curved tile shapes and expect a professional partnership throughout where there is no harassment and unsolicited comments beyond the scope of the agreed upon project, then this is not the small business for you. I, too, found Eshed via his five star reviews but was completely disappointed with the way the project unfolded. The initial project quote was 15 business days. Though I had to unexpectedly travel for work and attend jury duty, I ended up being without a kitchen for 2 months. Expectations were not met. Partway through the tile project, my closet broke and a closet expert came to assess my storage needs while Eshed was at the property working on the kitchen backsplash. While showing the closet designer my dresser drawer, it tipped over due to all the drawers being opened. We called Eshed in to help us rotate the dresser back upright and I thanked him for his help. I carried on with my closet consultation. At the end of the work day, while Eshed and I were discussing progress, Eshed made a comment about seeing all of the underwear in my dresser drawers and breezed past it as if it was part of standard conversation practice. In addition to this, while wrapping up on a Friday, he has sent me photos of where he's headed for the weekend and at one point even verbally suggested that I go with him to climb rocks on the beach. These instances, though not tied to the project, demonstrate a lack of professional standard that I expect from the highest quote that came in during my research for a quality tile installation. When all the tile was installed, right when the first wall's grout was applied in the kitchen, I was shocked to realize that the spacing that we were aiming for (1/8") was not at 1/4" or greater in some areas. I asked him if he used spacers to control the spacing and he said no. I asked him why he didn't use spacers and his response was aloof, telling me it was inefficient. This is not the bar of craft of excellence once expected from a project where the tiles cost more than the labour and the labour was already the highest bid across 5 businesses. Upon project completion, the matte black door knob on my front door looked like a blender had been taken to it because of all the broken tiles he was managing while going in/out of the property to cut tile pieces. I pointed this out and he did not make any suggestions to make this right or compromise. Lastly, he had an unprofessional meltdown in front of my electrician, a fellow tradesperson after passively suggesting that the electrical outlets need attention and that I should bring the electrician back (for the 3rd time). He raised his voice, got overly dramatic and read the text message he wrote me in front of the electrician to prove a point that only worsened his credibility. On the final day of completion, instead of calling me out of my office to confirm that the project was complete, he texted me while leaving the property and told me to send a check. No final walk through of the work was discussed. It is likely Eshed will respond publicly with a rebuttal, but I hope these examples as a whole give you the context you need when considering your next tile needs.

He provided an estimate within two days of me reaching out and us discussing the problem and his recommended solution. I had to buy the materials for the job (tile, grout and trim) but that was fine with me as it was stated up front. I was able to double check the exact materials with him. We weren't able to have Garik and his team come until 2 months later (due to our own reasons) but he and his team showed up on time and ready to go. Because our backsplash has a herringbone pattern, they had to cut a lot of the tile pieces to properly fit the space (poor guy came in and out so many times I lost count). The end result though is a BEAUTIFUL cohesive backsplash. We love it. We also had a separate shower tile grout crack that I wanted Garik to look at when he was here. He explained the reasoning for the crack and provided a couple of solutions. We decided to move forward with one of them (for an additional pre-approved amount) and he drove all the way to Home Depot to buy the materials and fix the crack. It looks great actually and we appreciated the extra effort! LA traffic is no joke. I reached out to a lot of tile companies and I felt like I got the best service from Garik and his team from beginning to end. Would highly reco and would absolutely use them again. Thank you!

Blue shirt and another guy were upstairs talking but no one bothered to come down. We probably stood there for another 5-10 minutes without any kind of assistance. After that we left. It is kind of hard to rate them on anything seeing as no service was provided. The worst part was that besides the 2 people working, we were the only ones in the whole store. This was on 4/14 (Friday) afternoon.

I politely pointed out the difference and asked if they could help me find the correct color. Instead of trying to help, the employee immediately became rude and simply said, "That's it. If you don't like it, don't buy it." I was honestly shocked by the lack of customer service. Mistakes happen, but treating a long-time customer with that kind of attitude is unacceptable. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just help finding the matching trim. Very disappointing experience.

I ran into Tile & Cabinet Expo for my last try. So glad I came here. I met Andrew who patiently showed me different kinds of tiles. He carefully provided the quote per square foot. I requested to take the sample home so I can see how the tiles look with my cabinets, wall and lighting. Andrew was very courteous and helped me with the samples to the car. The following week, I came back and decided to proceed. The owner was very nice and showed me all the border edges and ensure my order is adequate to fit my budget. What a wonderful service!
