I would not recommend H&S towing to anyone, they are a ripoff! I had to have a vehicle towed from an accident site and they charged me almost $1000 for the tow. They charged a mileage fee of $550 and a $75 fuel fee to take the vehicle 13 miles! I realize they may have had to do some extra work to get the vehicle on the truck because it was in an accident, but they shouldn't charge that much for mileage and fuel. The staff wasn't pleasant to deal with either. I would give zero stars if I could! I had another towing company pick the vehicle up from them and take it to my house for less than $150. read more

The absolute worst towing experience ever. First I was quoted one price over the phone. That amount then doubled once they reached the destination. Price gauging at its worst. Then to top it off the tow truck driver smoked non-stop the entore tow. Considering the other complaints I've read this is pretty common. I would NOT advise anyone to use them. We were in a multi car accident due to snow. We were told that we had to use H&S as per state troopers. They were used to pull most if not all the cars from the accident. We were in shock from the accident and now days later I realized we were taken advantage of. Our car was loaded on to trailer and were told that we had to "go find" another car. So, after he had several cigarettes (during which we sat in the tow and waited) we found the car which was 10 miles in the wrong direction we then were told that he could not tow it along with our car. (duh) Such a waste of our time! After approx. 20 miles round trip out of our way we finally got to the rental car place. I know things were hectic but the lack of respect for our car and the people already in the tow should have been respected!! read more

These people are amazing. When we broke down on 81 (towing a camper) we didn't know who to call. A nearby truck stop recommended we call H&S. Calling service, we reached Kyle and explained what was happening. He connected us with dispatch to send a truck to pick up both our truck and our camper. After arriving at the garage, Kyle and his team were quick to find the problem and give us a quote. When the parts were delayed, they towed us to a nearby campground. Upon completion, they picked us up with our truck so that we could return and pay the bill. This breakdown could have been a complete nightmare. Do not EVER use this company. My girlfriend broke down on the turnpike. The tow truck driver (John) was being very rude and sexist to her. He was sexually harassing her as well as being a complete unprofessional asshole. When I got there he was being very racist to me. He called me the n word multiple times. Said he was going to fight me. Told me to step out of my truck and fight him "like a man" and "be a tough guy" he kept verbally abusing myself and my girlfriend. He would non stop make sexual comments towards my girlfriend. He ALSO damaged her car!!!!! John called me the N word multiple times and said "I'll post this on tiktok and it will get hundreds of views" He was making her night worse when she was sobbing in tears Because her car was broken down. My mother was in a car accident near Harrisburg PA. The state police responded and called a tow truck for my mother. H&S towing was called. they charged her $325 for the hook up, $5 per mile for 5 miles so $25, $45 late fee, $52.50 fuel charge, and $50 per day it spent in their lot, which at payment time was $150. This totals to $597.50 for a 5 mile tow. when asked about why there was a huge $325 hook up fee the employee stated that was their "emergency service fee" and if my mom had called for a tow herself it would have only been $100. We found ourselves and two young toddlers unexpectedly stranded on the side of the PA turnpike. When our auto insurance roadside assistance didn't allow us to talk to a person, and said via an app the only thing we could do was drop our completely dead car off 31 miles away we called the turnpike police. They dispatched H&S who arrived within the hour on a holiday weekend. Scott got us home 90 miles away safe and sound. Scott was very safety conscious and we were so happy he was our driver. Would never take my car to H&S towing. I had my car taken there after an accident. I needed to retrieve my stuff from the vehicle and they basically stated that they need to get paid first before I remove anything in that vehicle. They are rude and disrespectful. You need to listen to your customers, and stop overcharging extra hours for towing that you didn't use! I get we all need to make money, but this is ridiculous. I've used your service twice, the first time was great, the second time was a horrible experience. Ken the manager is a A$%^& that rips people off. He is deceitful, and a liar! I will share my experience with my entire fleet, and pass it along. I've tried calling so YOU could make it right, but you chose NOT do the honest, and right thing! You weren't expecting a tracking device on my units, which alerts me as soon as you started towing my truck, and it followed you all the way to your destination which took less than 1 hr, but I was willing to pay for two! It might not effect you now, but when people read reviews, their going to be more likely to pick another company. Thank you H&S Towing! You've lost my business, along with any of my drivers! I was driving down 322 east when my right front tire blew. I was able to get my truck on the off ramp. I asked my phone to locate a service nearby and they popped up. I called them and told them I needed a steer tire 22.5 and a rim. The guy told me they had one and they'd be there in about 40 minutes and made sure he told me their fees. A state trooper pulled up and asked if I found help. I said yes. They didn't show up until almost 3 hours later. The guy that showed up started walking around back and forth and not doing anything. He showed up without any tools!! They had to wait for another truck to bring tools. And the worst was they didn't even have a tire, they had to go buy one at a truck stop and they didn't even bring the right one. They brought a drive tire for $488!!! My total bill was $1200 to change one stinking tire! Even the state trooper was pissed. Avoid them at all costs! read more

SCAM ARTISTS. This place is terrible. I was driving my moms car on the turnpike when it broke down 11 miles from her house. I called AAA who sent these guys. The driver loaded the car then asked for my AAA number and called his dispatch to have it verified. After doing that they told me that because I have AAA basic it would only cover 5 miles of towing and I would have to pay the difference. No problem. Then they tell me that we are 53 miles away from the destination (when it was actually 11) and it would be $3.50 per mile for the additional 48 miles. My mother spoke to them and they quoted her the same price and added a $70 hook-up fee for a total of around $250. We decided to use a different roadside assistance, then magically the price changed to $60 total. The driver said the original price was the cash price, but because I have AAA there was a discount but he KNEW I HAD AAA THE ENTIRE TIME and still quoted the higher price. I paid the fee, then he asked me for cash "for tolls." Never again! read more
