They found pretty much everything was perfect (other than a mistake I had made!) I saw another review about the openly Christian atmosphere. If anything, even if you aren't religious, it should give you some confidence that they will be honest because they believe they answer to Someone higher than the government. We will probably go to Martin's as long as they are still running this business.

It is a very simple process, I make an appointment every year, bring in my documents, they do their thing and I'm out of there in about 30 to 60 minutes (I have a child in college, so many more questions in recent years) with state and federal electronically filed and local ready to be mailed in. This year with covid, they have quickly implemented other options of getting your documents to them. I saw someone criticized their religious nature, however in the 20 years I've been going there, they have been nothing but extremely professional and honest in their work. I am not religious but also not offended easily as I do believe each to their own, they do my taxes, they do an outstanding job, that is why I go there.

We made our appointment and everything seemed to be fine. We arrived for our scheduled appointment, discussed our tax information and I asked the preparer what her rates were. Her reply to us was "Well, that all depends on how long your taxes take to prepare". I stated that we needed to have some kind of idea so we know what to expect. Her reply to us was "what did your last preparer charge you?" We begrudgingly gave her that information and she stated that it wouldn't be as high as your previous preparer. Still not having a solid rate we decided to not push the issue any further since she already had all of our info. A few weeks later we returned to pick up our paperwork and make payment. We were told it would be $445.00 for my wife and I and $165.00 for my 17 year old son. $610.00 for 3 people with minimal tax preparation needed. I had checked with a few other Tax services prior to this second appointment and all quoted me around $250.00 for 3 of us due to our minimal preparation. I advised Bottom Line Tax Service that this price was absolutely ridiculously high and that I was not happy with this number. She then asked us what we thought the number should be and we advised her of the aforementioned info from other preparers in the area. I asked her why the number was so high and Bottom Line Tax Service advised me "I have to charge a certain amount to pay for the customer acquisition from your previous preparer." She made the adjustment to $250.00 for mine and my wife's and kept my son's at $165.00. We have yet to receive our tax return! We E Filed! It has been two months since our first appointment. We called to see what the problem was and Bottom Line Tax Service Claims she "mistakenly omitted" the last digit of our bank routing number. I contacted my previous preparer and he stated to me that another of his previous customers has complained about the same issue. Bottom Line Tax Service could not even tell me what my next steps were to get this resolved. Please be aware of this business. If you chose to use them anyway, insist on a quote before using their service.

For tax year 2025, all documents were submitted and a written agreement was signed for this firm in February to complete my taxes. Tax day passed and there was zero communication on the status of my taxes. Calls, texts and emails were ignored or pushed aside before this firm stopped responding altogether. I had to contact the IRS to confirm that this firm failed to file my taxes. To this day no apology or explanation has been given. Do not trust this business to handle your taxes.

If I could give zero stars I would. I used this company from 2018-2025 for my small business. I…read moreassumed a company of CPAs would know how to do taxes, however I was incorrect. I questioned them for years on the inventory issues and finally fired them a year ago when they suggested I use someone else's sales tax ID to order wholesale items for my business. I had an independent accountant review my taxes and it turns out that they had in fact counted my inventory correctly every year and in 2021 alone I am due an amended return of $22,000 minus a $12,000 disallowance from the IRS. We still have to do 2022-2023 amended returns. This company has put me at risk of having to file for personal and professional bankruptcy and losing my health insurance as a disabled person. I cannot express how horrifying this experience has been and how they have screwed up my life and finances for the foreseeable future. Avoid at all costs If you are a current small business client with inventory products AND material components, get a second opinion, because they may have screwed you over too.

The services they offer are very expensive but cover various areas. I paid them a large amount of money for a specific tax request just to be told that my payment dud not include the service I requested. That was infuriating. These people know their field, I'm sure, but their communication is just horrible. They feel like a company that is stretched too thin to provide any level of competent customer service whatsoever.
