And to charge me 12% of my check is not only unfair, it's crooked and probably criminal. So my advice to anyone looking to intrust this bank that makes their quarterly bonuses off the backs of hard working Americans with you money, think about what they will probably charge you if you accidentally have a NSF!!! Based off their check cashing fee I would have to say a NSF charge (That's if they just don't return it) is probably going to be around $100.

I read a lot of bad reviews about Wells Fargo banks around the area, but decided that they were a major national brand and one that could work no matter where we were. We went in to open the account and waited about 30 minutes. There were three people in front of us and two people working with customers (other than the regular tellers). We signed in and waited. When it was finally our turn, the lady who helped us was super helpful and got us completely taken care of. Including the wait, it took about an hour to open the account, but it was painless when we got started. The lady was also helpful, offering ideas for places around Midland to eat, get our hair cut and more (we asked, it wasn't just thrown out there). Very happy there. I read horror stories from branches around Midland when it comes to waiting in drive thru lanes. I made my first deposit yesterday morning and was in and out in a matter of minutes. Just as quick as any other bank I have used. Very friendly teller too. Finally, I love the extras like seeing balances through text messages and depositing checks through a phone app. I am very happy with Wells Fargo so far.

One of the things that I loved the most was that there was a REAL PERSON that answered the phone EVERY SINGLE TIME in the first two rings. I never got sent into one of those crazy mazes of phone systems, press one for this or two for that. A friendly and kind person would answer the phone ever single time and happily take their time on the phone chatting. Companies love working with them too because they listen to exactly what the clients want and go through literally hundred of resumes to find the perfect candidate for the position instead of looking through dozens upon dozens of resumes sent over from who knows where. What I loved the most was that they would reach out to me with jobs that MATCHED my skills and what I enjoyed doing. P.S. You get paid weekly ;)

Shockingly backward experience at this Credit Union. I needed to open an account after closing a…read morelong-time relationship with another local credit union. I was told that it was required I present a hard copy of my Social Security Card to open the requested account. I have not had a copy since 1982 and have not needed it, what with having an actual Social Security Number. This is not a federal law or a local law, so I tried calling their offices to find out what was going on. Because ALL branches, apparently, of the Citizens Federal Credit Union were "short-handed," I talked to three receptionists who all tried to transfer me to "Membership" and simply gave me the opening menu message you get from a generic call to the place. Dear lord. I think there was definitely a message coming through that I did not want to leave my hard-earned money in this wretched, disorganized business. Went to Plan B and all is well. But, I would think twice before doing business with these folks.
