We have Roshni do our taxes here. We used to have Carol but Carol has since retired (we miss you Carol!). But Roshni provides the same level of customer service we are familiar with! She made sure our forms were done correctly and didn't mind taking a few extra steps to ensure our information was correct. Horrible service , I think you're better off doing your own taxes rather than paying H&R. They're highly expensive for doing mediocre work.

Worst experience ever 600$ later are taxes were done. 1 month later irs is sending letters that taxes were done incorrectly. Dont waste your money here I will do my own taxes next year. You would think that your job is taxes and that is all you do you should get it right. Paid for the peace of mind glad I did that because they screwed up and had to go in for a second time for hr block to fix there mistakes. A 1 star is generous they deserve negative stars. read more

First, my employee I was scheduled with walked in late from her lunch. Then, after she looked over the papers I brought in with a very rushing manner, she said you will either be looking at a $99.99 or $139.99 charge due to your student loan interest paper because of what I have to file under. She asked if I was okay with that and I was fine with that, thinking I would be walking out the door paying one of those 2 prices...wrong! As she started my taxes and kept going I cannot tell you how many times I heard oh there is a charge for that form and another charge for that form and oh you are going to have to be charged for this for too. As I am sitting there in disbelief she finally makes it to the end and informs me that I owe just under $300 for her to sit there for 15 minutes and punch things in the computer. They basically charged me what the state would have given back to me. To me this is very unprofessional! There should be honesty from the start on how much you will pay!!! How does one who has two W-2 forms, 1 student loan paper and 1 untouched retirement account get charged $300?! Go to H&R Block and get conned, that is how! Stay as far away as possible! DON'T waste your time or money doing your taxes here. These people are liars , dishonest, con artists. First, they lied about the prices. They also talked to me like I was a child, so disrespectful. Worst of all they did my taxes wrong and I only had two w-2's . It took the fat lady only 5 minutes to do my taxes , they charged me $200. Walked out the office feeling like I had been TAKEN. After a couple weeks I received a letter from the IRS, Now I have to deal with THEM. I've never had any problems with my taxes in the past, now I do because the people at this office SUCK at what they do. After talking to the regional manager, we agreed to a discount on the $200 I paid. Again, couple weeks go by , NO refund. We're talking taxes so naturally no one who visits is going to be in the best mood but the service here was outstanding for us. We showed on time, the girl who greeted us was friendly, and had candy and coloring pages for our daughter. The lobby was busy but they let us know our tax rep would be with us right away. Horrible service. I called for an appointment, told them that I needed to do an amended form. I got there 5 min early had to wait an hour and a half. She had no clue how to do an amended form... had to wait about an hour for some one else. Oh.. and when i first got there all of the chairs were full of spider webs so I had to go wait in my truck. Next lady seemed competent... left my paperwork and made an apt for after work 4 days later . She said her last appointment was at 6. I told her I take the train home... I usually get home at 730-745 but I well take the early train and get home 630-645, she says ok I will make your appt for 6pm that way no one will schedule anyone at 6. I sent her 2 emails that day and no response (I know that I had the correct address because she replied to one the day before) Train was 3 min late...i called st 634 to let her know that I'm on my way and she just left because she thought I was not going to show up. Her co worker called her to see if she would come back and she wouldn't. I was pretty upset I left work an hour early for this appt. They made me wait almost 2 hrs on Saturday and she left before my agreed upon time? Not cool. She still has not responded to my email to apologize. read more

Wanted to start off by saying I never write reviews about any business good or bad but this location had to be mentioned. I went in on sept 10 to have my taxes done during the off season. I spoke with Karen we sat down and went over my taxes and was told it would take a week or two tops to finish them. I went in to the location two weeks later because of zero contact between her and I. She assured me that she had be busy TEACHING class and she would get them done give her another 2 weeks. Needless to say TWO months later and she didn't even start them I took the taxes and left. She was rude, lied about reason on why she couldn't get them done and pushed off a PAYING customer to deal with her class. She failed to give it to one of her coworkers or even keep in touch once during the whole two months ordeal. To make it worse she was the manager of the facility. I went to H&R block on Main st in Manteca, CA in 2013 to file an extenstion on my 2012 taxes well I did and the lady that filed the extenstion said we will keep your W2's and call you on what it will coast to file them as well as what your return will be. I was uneasy about doing so but she said that is what they are doing. I said fine she said would call me in the next few days and let me know. Well needless to say that phone call never happen. then i called them and they lady was never available. so finaly i get a call from H&R block in june saying that they have my w2's at another office and if i wanted to go pick it up well when i went to go go get the paperwork i called and they said that they can not find the paperwork and they would check again 2 weeks went by and i called again and they still have not found the paperwork (W2). Now i have to call the IRS and State to get copys of my W2's all because the crapy H &R block lost my info!! Thanks alot I will never go there again!!!! read more
