I have emails and receipts showing I paid for that already and Liz herself told me it was filed. From then on it was like pulling teeth to get her to re file them and now am waiting on my returns still that I would have already got had the job been done right. Luckily her staff was helpful because she has ignored all my calls and text even offering to pay her just to answer me back. I'll never use Liz tax service again!

Namely, my Tax professional, Segren! I live in Texas and used this location this year for my Tax preparation because last year I lived/worked in joplin for a short period because of my ill mother. Segren caught a mistake on my return from my 2017 taxes and corrected it, and made sure that my amended return was filed immediately and correctly! Then I also had to pay late fees that totaled to more than the price of local houses. Now I have found a reputable CPA who is fighting the IRS to get the entire amount and fines refunded, but it is a torturous process and wouldn't have been necessary if she had known what she was doing in the first place. For the love of God, and your own peace of mind, if you have complicated taxes, go elsewhere.

Joplin Tax Service messed up our return so badly that they Amended it two months ago we have heard nothing from the IRS. No apologies from Joplin Tax, no acknowledgement of wrong, no refunds and still no return.

I had to wait FIVE WEEKS for the appointment on this lame guy and then nothing happened. Let's see if a complaint against your license gets results? Doubtful. Do they have a car body painting shop next door? That would explain some things. Got the run around. So much confusion in this office or that's the story. I got a voice mail late Friday afternoon. I was told that because I was a new client, others were ahead of me. That's not what mr. churchwell told me. He said he'd do it on the 17-18th of June. I was told that because others were ahead of me, it'd be mid to late July. I wasn't told that when on the phone with this fool who said 17-18 of June. What these places do is get taxes like this that don't require a deadline and then hold onto them until they don't have anything else to do. Otherwise, lull time. That's my theory. Why else would simple tax returns be so much like pulling teeth. Called that horrid office several times. NEVER got to speak to someone. Strange, as before, someone would pick up. I had to leave multiple voice mail messages that I ddin't want their nasty service and consider this the termination of service. No one called me back. No one ever picked up. I'm just waiting for them to take me to small claims court and I'll pull out the recording of good old mister churchwell saying he'd do it on the 17-18th of June. Should I counter sue? Is this the top CPA of Missouri? Can they even spell the name of the state? What a bunch of not-wanting-to-deal with the situation on the reception level. My advice is to save your nerves, save your hair and avoid this place. I will be filing a complain with this nasty firm with the state. I had to wait five weeks for an audience with his eminence, the pope of CPA. After that long wait, it was refusing to do it in a timely manner.
