Vague information on the limits and how it was decided. False claims from advertising stated up to 3500 amounts. When my refund was approved, guaranteed due to voluntary paycheck deductions, I was only given less than 10% of my total refund. I have emails and receipts showing I paid for that already and Liz herself told me it was filed. From then on it was like pulling teeth to get her to re file them and now am waiting on my returns still that I would have already got had the job been done right. Luckily her staff was helpful because she has ignored all my calls and text even offering to pay her just to answer me back. I'll never use Liz tax service again!

Then I also had to pay late fees that totaled to more than the price of local houses. Now I have found a reputable CPA who is fighting the IRS to get the entire amount and fines refunded, but it is a torturous process and wouldn't have been necessary if she had known what she was doing in the first place. For the love of God, and your own peace of mind, if you have complicated taxes, go elsewhere.

I filed with them this year and I received my taxes back ASAP! They were great with my child who was a year and 3 months old and had just learned to walk. They were so nice about her babbling and running around, they tried to occupy her as much as possible until my appt was over. I then had to go back up there recently because my Emerald Card was stolen and they were so good about replacing it! I didn't have a whole ton of "identification" because my wallet was stolen and that's how I lost my card, but they accepted what I had and went over documents I had in my file already and it took no time to replace my card and be able to use it. I was extremely pleased with the services I received here and the atmosphere surrounding their employees.

So, i was quoted over the phone 2 and 1/2 wks ago by H&R block staff that if i drop my taxes off,…read morethat it should be between $300- $400 to prepare them, which is what we've paid other tax preparation places every other year in the past. They did not finish preparing my taxes and printing the forms until 830pm the night they were due. And then hit me with a bill for $800. And really wouldn't explain what cost the extra $400. Obviously at this point, i have no other option but to pay them and have them file, since it's too late in the game to do anything else. They obviously do not care about having repeat customers because that's not how you treat someone you ever want to see again. They also had me pay and extra $40 for insurance coverage saying if the irs questions my taxes that they back me for up to $6000 of my return. So, apparently, if you want peace of mind, they charge extra for that too. And I'm not even going into how rude one particular employee was to us over the phone, blatantly saying she charges per hour, when we had been previously told they charge per form that has to be filed. So, with that said, the extra $400 I was charged, but wasn't explained why, pretty sure it's because the employees decided since I was due a pretty large federal return, that they would upcharge me and withhold their fees out of my return. Don't worry H&R, you won't have to deal with my taxes or business next year.
