I came here b/c I was so confused on how to file my taxes, due to me being a Lyft driver. It was really easy to make an appointment over the phone. The receptionist was so kind & she got me an appointment that worked with my schedule, even though I waited days before the deadline. When I arrived the receptionist paired me with Senior Tax Analyst; Candyce Roberson who she said is a pro at filing taxes for Uber, Lyft, & Postmates workers. Candyce jumped right into my taxes. She was extremely knowledgeable in every aspect that I had concerns about. She gave great tips and tools on how I could grown my personal business & ways to be better prepared for tax next years tax season. The manager Tommy, was great as well! Ever since I've live in Fontana , south Pasadena , Monterey park , Whittier and now Gardena , my taxes are done at this location for the last 35 plus years and now retired Ms. Esther C. was my tax lady as I call them Tax Expert more like , she is a friend and a great person always gives you advice , I knew her when I was single and always ask every year " you get married yet " ? I always say no not yet haven't found one yet, and we laugh while she does my taxes. Now MS. Linda S. Is doing my family's tax for the last 2 years I think and she's wonderful also , the staff is freindly but thier computer that keeps appointment needs an upgrade none to the fault of the staff its the system .my tax services since I was 18 . read more

I don't usually leave review on anything but today was an exception. I came in last minute to do my taxes. I didn't have any hard copies of my W2. However they do print it out for you if you have a picture of it. So Tony went out of his way and printed them out for me. Derek L. Was so patient and helpful during the whole process. He makes sure you understand what's going on and how things are going to play out. In short this branch is the best. Will be coming back next year. And the ladies at the front were also very nice, helpful and patient. If i can give more than 5 stars i would. Great customer service!!!! As a first timer H&R customer I was very pleased with my service. I would recommend Derek Labat because that's who helped me. Very informative, very professional, and very sincere. He helped me understand everything very clearly and answered all questions with no hesitations. The management was also very nice and involved with the customer service. They offer different options on how to recieve your refund including a free debit card. They also offer different options of extra identity protections for anyone thats concerned about fraud. Great experience during a stressful process, dealing with taxes from different states and forms. I have been doing my taxes with H&R Block for over 10 years in Las Vegas Nevada and never encountered a problem, so coming to a new city and dealing with W2's from 2 different states I was concerned that we could meet someone with the experience and patience to explain all the different options available to us.
