I have called 12 times and emails 7 times and each time they told me, they would look into my taxes but never called or emailed me back. At one point they said it appeared my taxes had been submitted but not by them and so they were going to file an identity fraud alert? But IRS.gov shows no activity, no extensions, nothing. They just didn't do them and ignored me for a year. Now I have to file two years of taxes at the same time. WTF happened? I have never gotten an answer.

Let me start by saying I am one of those people who VERY rarely leaves reviews. I have to have had…read moreeither an outstanding experience or a miserable experience that I wouldn't want others to be subjected to...In this case it is unfortunately the latter!! Here it goes... We had our taxes prepared by Dawn Gillow in 2025 for the 2024 tax year. During the appointment, everything seemed to go well. Dawn was nice, there was a great place for our 5-year old to keep herself occupied, and we had what seemed like a good experience while in the office. THAT WAS WHERE THE GOOD EXPERIENCE ENDED!!! Later that same evening, Dawn emailed us to let us know that she had made an error on our return and that the result is that our refund would be thousands less (like ~$3k less!) than what we had signed to while in the office! She asked us to sign a correction form, which we did promptly the next day and returned it to her. Beginning two days later (on the Monday following our Friday evening appointment) I began trying to get in touch with Dawn to discuss the error so I could understand what went wrong. This is where things really went off the rails...Dawn avoided me for months and I was never able to get in touch with her to simply have questions answered about our return. I even took the time to put all questions in a well prepared email and she ignored that too!!!! I must have called and emailed a dozen times or more between late March and mid May. I never got a response. To this day, she has avoided responding to my inquiries, which were simply to get a better understanding of our return and the original error that had occurred. SO - If you expect to be able to speak with Dawn or to be able to follow-up with her after your appointment, you should look elsewhere. If you want transparency and open communication, look elsewhere. It wasn't the error so much that bothers me about my experience with Dawn. It is the lack of transparency and refusal to communicate with us after the fact to ensure we fully understood what had happened and how it was resolved. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! If you are still reading this, I strongly encourage you to find another tax professional to help you. There are many out there far better than this one!

He also referred to me as a "girl" and then proceeded to mansplain the trucking business and all its difficulties to me. Thoroughly infuriating and insulting.
