I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience to protect other people…read morefrom hiring Mark as their accountant. I hired Mark to help clean up some work left behind by a previous accountant. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being just as disappointing--if not worse. During what was supposed to be an active and ongoing engagement, Mark became completely unresponsive. This was especially concerning given that he had access to both my personal financial information and business accounts. There were no status updates, no clear next steps, and no transparency around the progress of the work. After months of emailing and calling Mark with no response, I asked my husband to reach out. He finally made contact with Mark and he acknowledged that he was overwhelmed and had not been handling things professionally after being completely unresponsive for months. When it comes to something as important and sensitive as personal and business accounting, communication and reliability are essential. Unfortunately, this experience lacked both. I would not recommend working with Mark and would encourage others to seek an accountant who communicates clearly and operates with a higher level of professionalism and accountability.

After months and months of waiting for a h IRS to respond we received a letter stating she indicated on the forms incorrect information and it had to be amended. Finally when I spoke to an IRS rep they stated the reason there has been no update is that the numbers did not match our original return and the examiner had to disregard our paperwork. We have had an outstanding balance with the IRS which in 2023 she advised not to pay while we wait for the amended return to be accepted.
