It was after hours, but he returned our call within five minutes. His first concern was that me and my family were safe and had shelter. He then immediately started working on my claim and advising me on the steps I needed to take. Long story short, within 72 hours, the tree was removed (same night), we have an approved estimate to repair the damage, and Safeco has already sent a check to cover the cost of the tree removal. Mr. Young and the entire staff at Tradewinds have taken all the stress out of what in normal circumstances would have been an incredibly stressful situation. As it turned out, my policy lapsed and I had to be set up with their overpriced and substandard company. They apparently were sending notices to an old email address I no longer used. I contacted Shannon about this and nothing truly got resolved. If they offer you insurance with Bristol West, run. Truly a nasty, unethical company. I had a claim due to a wild horse hitting my car in the Nevada desert. I have 3 legitimate estimates for $4000. They paid $2400. Their excuse was that they could total the car if they paid more money. The car is worth more than double the legitimate cost to repair. I guess we'll just have to go with small claims. They did manage to send their worthless newsletter to the correct email. It just showed up in promotions. Time for a complaint to the Department of Insurance. Bad service all the way around.
