I decided to use the refund tracker, the envelope and paperwork provided seems to lack any such paper that gives me my return amount on wither refund. I used my block to enquire, no response. This is frusterating to not have answers to what is going on with my money. They messed up last year, and I gave them another chance. While doing the tax return she was so sweet and humble and I just feel like now she will be unapproachable esp after telling me to stop complaining when I was trying to ask questions just to understand.

Unfortunately, my parents had a less than favorable experience despite being referred here by a…read morefriend. First, they made an appointment and was made to wait past time (No problem, things happen). By the time they were called, Patricia only wanted them to drop off documents, however they wanted to make sure they had everything needed so they pushed to use the *15-minute* appointment they made to discuss with the tax pro. Patricia still showed impatience despite them wanting to make sure they made her job as easiest as possible. One year later, we learn Patricia made multiple mistakes on our tax return after receiving a notice from the IRS. They went in multiple times to "scan" the return since somehow the prior few times, the return was deleted and the tax pro "had no idea" about our concern even though she told another tax pro they must've not given her the document initially. Since we opted for a CPA to make the changes, HR Block says we can't prove that we provided the documents the first time...for one of the mistakes. They ignored the other mistakes in the return. The regional manager, Lynn, ignores our calls. The treatment after my parents' concerns where brought up to this location is why I'm making this review, not the mistakes. I was hoping HR Block would have more integrity than this. I would only go here if you only have W-2s to file. They can't seem to handle more complicated returns. Ironic since this is why my parents went to them in the first place to avoid exactly what happened anyway.

Unprofessional and poor communication. I'm only speaking of my experience working with Sandra…read moreStockwell CPA for my condo association tax filings. I would NOT recommend her as she was not reliable. I can't speak of the other CPAs at this firm. They may be great for all I know. But here's my experience with Sandra: Sandra Stockwell was my CPA at Lisi, Liberati & Stockwell for the past 4 years for condo tax filings. In the first year, I emailed her while she was on vacation. She responded that she would get back to me when she returned. Well I didn't hear from her for over 2 weeks, so I emailed again. But whatever, fine. Tax forms were filed successfully that year. In the second year, I messed up (I admit that) and forgot about the tax filings and contacted Sandra on April 11. Ms. Stockwell was away for the week (which is strange considering Tax Day is typically April 15), so her associate, Lori, was able to file and send out the tax forms before the deadline. Thank you Lori! I was also reassured that even if I had not filed by the April 15 deadline, I could have filed an extension. Great. In the third year, I contacted Sandra and sent her all the paperwork needed to file our tax forms. She never responded and I completely forgot about it until May 14. When I reached out to her to see if she had received and filed our tax forms, she responded with this exact quotea: "I have stuff". That was her entire email response. I had no idea WTF she meant by this. It was only after I received the tax forms to sign in the mail a few days later, that I knew she had finally done her job. In this fourth and final year (2023), Sandra initiated contact with me saying, "Last year you were late and if late again IRS might give you penalties" Excuse me? WHO was late in filling those taxes? But again, whatever, fine. The tax forms were completed on time and this would be my last year dealing with Sandra since I was moving out of my condo. When I went to sign the tax forms at the office, I let Sandra know that I was not satisfied with her services. I told her everything I mentioned above. She made excuses and blamed the poor communication on the fact that I contacted her through her personal email. Well guess what, that's the only contact info I have! I was given that email by the previous condo president. If Sandra thinks her personal email address isn't reliable, then she shouldn't be giving that email out to her clients. But at the point I was satisfied having aired my grievances to Sandra's face directly, so I told her I wouldn't leave a negative public review. I was satisfied... Fast forward to a half hour later, and I receive an email from Sandra stating that the reason the previous year's taxes were filed late was because I had emailed her the paperwork on March 23, but that the tax filings were actually due on March 15. Umm, first off, I had never been told in the previous 3 years of filing that the due date was March 15. In fact, 2 years prior, I was told of an extension that could be filed if I missed the April 15 filing date. I'm not blaming Lori if that was the wrong info, because honestly she was the only helpful person I interacted with at LL&S. But regardless of the due date, Sandra didn't bother to file those taxes until I contacted her in MAY! So Sandra, you're saying that because I sent my tax paperwork to you 8 days "late", you blew off doing my taxes completely? And on top of that, you repeatedly blame me instead of acknowledging your mistakes. Sandra Stockwell, I will never do any business with you again and I will tell anybody who will listen about my horrible experience working with you at Lisi, Liberati & Stockwell
