AVOID AT ALL COST. Fraudulent and a scam!!!! If I could give…read morezero stars, I would. We hired Rainwater CPA to handle both our personal and business taxes, expecting a professional, reliable service. Instead, we were met with complete incompetence from start to finish. Throughout the process, we were constantly ran around in circles and passed between different account reps without notice. Nobody ever seemed to know what was going on with our file. Because of their continuous delay tactics and disorganization, they filed our business taxes late. While they verbally and (written documentation) admitted it was their fault and took responsibility for the late filing, their mistake cost us over $14,000 in penalties and interest. To make matters worse, ever since the penalties hit, they have completely ghosted us. They ignore every single phone call and email we send. Do not trust Rainwater CPA with your personal or business accounting. Their lack of communication, high staff turn over, and complete disregard for client deadlines will cost your business real money. Avoid at all costs.

I suspect many who tried their hands at the crypto boom during COVID may have found themselves in a similar situation as mine. I have confidently completed my own taxes with the assistance of paid software for years without issue. However, my lack of crypto reporting led to a 5 digit tax bill that would later be confirmed as a huge mistake. The IRS doesn't care about user error, I attempted to resolve on my own without luck. Enter Leichter Accounting Services! I chose them based on proximity to my home in the event I needed to go into the office. To my surprise, I was able to share receipts and financial documentation all through their user friendly portal. All of my questions were answered timely and 7 months later my very costly mistake has been resolved. I highly recommend this business and plan to keep this relationship going for future tax needs.
