AVOID AT ALL COST. Fraudulent and a scam!!!! If I could give…read morezero stars, I would. We hired Rainwater CPA to handle both our personal and business taxes, expecting a professional, reliable service. Instead, we were met with complete incompetence from start to finish. Throughout the process, we were constantly ran around in circles and passed between different account reps without notice. Nobody ever seemed to know what was going on with our file. Because of their continuous delay tactics and disorganization, they filed our business taxes late. While they verbally and (written documentation) admitted it was their fault and took responsibility for the late filing, their mistake cost us over $14,000 in penalties and interest. To make matters worse, ever since the penalties hit, they have completely ghosted us. They ignore every single phone call and email we send. Do not trust Rainwater CPA with your personal or business accounting. Their lack of communication, high staff turn over, and complete disregard for client deadlines will cost your business real money. Avoid at all costs.

He likes to knock out your taxes so bring everything with you or quickly mail it to him when you get home. He'll get it back to you... just file early :-) I don't like paying other people to do my taxes but I like to save my sanity and have peace of mind. I require a bunch of forms so going to H&R Block wouldn't be a great idea because they can't handle more than a simple tax filing well. They are also expensive and Thomas isn't much more. He's also way more experienced. I'll be going back next year.

I pointed it some very OBVIOUS errors such as my retirement account wasn't documented. I waited for my taxes to be reviewed and still heard nothing as of 4/16 and I initiated the process on 3/12 -so it wasn't like I waited to the last minute- so I called. The receptionist was rude and spoke over me. First she said she couldn't find my account and then I called back and explained that the person assigned to me was Mr. Bridges and that he passed my account along to Marwa Alerian. She said I'd get a call back from Mr. Bridges and then moments later I get an email from H&R Block asking me for all of my W-2 information. I call back a 3rd time and again the receptionist was rude and I still got nowhere. I filled for an extension and will be demanding a refund. I would have been better off using TurboTax!
