PROS Located conveniently in a strip mall, retail space. Like most urban strip malls there's fast food, a nail shop, beauty supply, save for the liquor store... but it's not far away-- SMH. Most of the workers are quick and the pricing is reasonable. When you walk through the door, you are addressed... at least. CONS Don't expect top notch (customer) service or a plush shop. Get your nails done and leave-- don't expect real pampering. Nail techs are hit or miss as well as nail, brow and pedi service. I'm unaware if they are up to date with designs, but they do have decorative acrylic, gel polish and know what the coffin shape is. Nothing has been truly horrid, but I've had better. A decent option for quick maintenance and when a back up plan is needed. They close at 8pm, but be careful of going after 7ish. read more

If I could give this horrible business ZERO stars I would. This is by far the absolute WORST nail salon I have ever been to in my entire 21 years of living. Let's first start off by saying two of my friends and I walked in and no one greeted us. We had to say "uhhh...excuse me? Is anyone gonna acknowledge or answer us?" Everyone was just staring at us like we had 15 eyes. Not to mention, the owner is also very rude. I asked if she could help me and she gave me the rudest most hostile response I've ever heard from any business owner. Completely unprofessional. We should've left right then and there but we were desperate to get our nails done as this was on a Sunday and we came around 5. I got an acrylic full set and first of all, the guy who was doing my nails made me feel VERY uncomfortable. He was too busy trying to hit on me instead of making sure he put enough acrylic on my nails so they didn't break. With that being said, after the 2nd day of having them, 1 nail broke. I was fine with that. I went and got it fixed on the 3rd day free of charge and that was that. After I went to get that nail fixed, by the end of the 3rd day, I kid you not....6 of my nails were off. They were literally popping off like press ons I just bought from Walmart. I wasn't so mad they were popping off as I hated my nails to begin with because the shaping was off. Every single nail was a different shape, but the idea of me spending $65 on this is what really upset me the most. I can't continue this review without failing to mention both of my friends had similar experiences to mine with their acrylics. By the 3rd day, four of my friend's acrylics had came off and the acrylic on her toe had completely chipped in half as well. My other friend went and asked for acrylic on her toe, and the lady blatantly told her "no, you don't need it" & proceeded to do her toes without the acrylic. Of course my friend was not having that and told her to do what she asked. Who says that to someone and how do you know what a customer doesn't and doesn't want? Once again...lazy, inconsiderate and rude. Not sure how they are still operating business, but I will never come back here and I will be sure to let everyone else know that as well. Ive been here a few times because I like that they open at 9am and generally it's never too many people there. I've had 4 different people do my nails because the first guy I liked(Ryan) is never there. One guy with long nails did my nails but creeped me out the entire time. It seems they have a bad habit of overlapping your cuticles with the acrylic mixture. 3 out of 4 times I've been my nails were either too thinand they didn't last past a week or the acrylic was all the way around on my cuticles.. Looking tacky. I got my eyebrows done here 2x and both times they jacked my eyebrowwws up!! A middle aged woman the first time and a very slender guy I think his name was Ti.. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. The customer service is awful. I was getting a regular pedicure with gel polish they couldn't do that right. The polish looked as if I needed a nail fill in. Then someone else came to fix the issue & she couldn't even get it right. I continued to be polite and remain calm. I am an early bird. I drove around looking for a nail salon that was open and I found H&N Nailery. They opens at 9:00am. I walked in and they were ready to provide service. I'm here for a pedicure. I'm happy with the service. The technician was very gentle with me. She suggested gel polish and it will last longer for me. I said no and was provided the opportunity to pick another color. It was a smooth process in getting a pedicure. It did not take long. They put two coats of polish and one top coat. It cost me $25 for a pedicure. They take credit cards. I also tipped the young lady. This is a good place to get a pedicure. read more

I found out about this nail salon thru Ryan's Instagram. His work looked nice so I scheduled my very first appointment back in August. I got a glow set with crystals at the bottom by my cuticles for $85. They didn't have a lot of glow acrylics to choose from, from what I was shown. The set held up ok, I did lose a couple crystals about 2 weeks in. My second appointment I got a simple fill and a 3D flower on both hands. Set held up but I did notice a lot of lifting from the bottom of my nails and lost a couple. I mentioned the lifting at my next appointment and he said it was because I was on my second fill. That was a red flag to me because I've never been told that in all my years of getting my nails done. The nails/acrylic were lifting perfectly from the bottom and coming smooth off, with some damage to the tips of my natural nails. My third appointment I just got a fill because I was over looking at the same set but my time was limited. I also wanted to continue my search for a new nail salon. My fourth and final appointment was October 5th. I got a brand new glow set with half glitter encapsulated. I asked for a "glass" sculptured set but got clear tips instead. My reason for not wanting tips is because I didn't want them splitting on the side or breaking where the fake nail is. That kind of blew me but whatever I liked the outcome for the most part. Once again by week 2 my nails were lifting from the bottom. I did make another appointment for this week but ended up canceling it because I got sick, I'll be continuing my search. Ryan wasn't very personable. The conversation was minimal which I don't mind but I like to feel welcome and for the prices, I expected my nails to last longer than they did in between fills. I was experiencing lifting literally by week 2 and I'm used to stretching my fills 4-5 weeks. Went to be serviced for a chipped nail received there 3 days earlier. While telling the technicians the service needed I was abruptly met with animosity. First, Tam commented while scrolling on her phone "I'm not doing it" and directed me to a male employee (skinny dude w/pie face). He removed his coat as though he was going to assist and asked what I needed, who did my nails and what color. I responded and he said I had to come back the weekend. I questioned why because it was only 1-2 nails. Nonetheless he was going to help me or so I thought. After speaking in their native tongue, another belligerent employee (old gentleman with long hair) told me I had to go to the employee that serviced me. I expressed that I did not have time to wait till the weekend and that I had already paid $55 (10 tip) and would like to be serviced which I had no problem paying for. I couldn't believe the resistance, anger, and act of non-service over 1 nail (or possibly 2). The man that originally was going to assist me then walked past me and serviced ANOTHER customer. I then asked for the manager's name - silence. It's was all recorded. From these reviews this establishment is proof that it hails to be an unprofessional environment with bad customer service (not to mention how they talk and treat each other) and mediocre nail work at best. I give this place 2 stars because of the cleanliness and also because of the sweet kind lady that did my nails. However, as seen in the picture....my nails were not neatly done. The color did not come out the way that I expected it. I was greeted and immediately seated to get my mani and pedi with gel. This place does use the tub liners. She immediately began on my feet. She did a great job but I could not really tell how messy the nail polish was until I looked closely. Unlike my feet my nails were very obvious. She put a lot of coats on my nails which made it look very sloppy, thick, and chunky. I would not recommend this place and will not be back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I paid $30 for the world's WORST gel manicure. The service was slow and the attention to detail was lacking. She started by buffing down the old gel polish color, and did not soak it at all. I dislike this method because it makes your nails thin and weak. I let her continue. When she was done, there was polish all over my cuticles and the sides of my nails, brush streaks in the top coat and even big lumps. When she was done I complained about the biggest lump and she hesitantly filed it down and repainted it. She got rid of the bump but in the process also completely got rid of the polish and left a small streak with no polish. I did not catch the technician's name but I told her this was terrible work and asked her if it was genuinely a manicure she would be happy with, to which she responded yes . One star is too high of a rating!! I made an appointment by paying a $30 deposit to Honey! First of all, Honey is vinegar! After a week or so, my nails started to lift. One nail lifted...no big deal. By Day 10, 3 were lifting and one came completely off! $80 for a full set. I reached via text and said "Hi. I got a full set with you less than two weeks ago. Most of my nails are lifting and one came completely off." After 6 hours and no response, I sent another text saying "Hello". Finally, she responds by telling me she has no availability until February. To fix bad service, I would think you would create availability! She said then if I wait until then she most definitely will charge me for a full set. She claimed she never had customers with this issue. I told her I wasn't trying to get something for nothing. I just want my money's worth! She never offered to see my nails but said she's sorry I experienced that and there is nothing she can do for me right now! Me too and so is my wallet. read more

I scheduled an appointment with Honey to get my nails done for my birthday. She did a beautiful job and moved quick so I was happy and the man who did my feet did an amazing job. I was happy and satisfied when I left the shop. I got my nails done on Friday 2/28/2020 at 6pm. By Sunday 3/1/2020, 2 days after paying $110 for a full set, one of my nails started lifting. I didn't think much about it since it was only one nail and it wasn't that bad but by Thursday 3/5/2020 more than half my nails were lifting. I texted her on Friday 3/6/2020 asking if I could come in so she could fix them. Not only is she not available until next week but she insisting on charging me because she doesn't know "what I might have done to my nails." I tried to wait to post this to give her a chance to right this wrong nit she hasn't responded to my last message. So, if you want expensive beautiful nails that will last for 48 hours and you'll have to pay for repairs that shouldn't have occurred, book with Honey. Do not come here unless you like overpaying for subpar service. My very first time the guy went above and beyond... we even had great conversation. The last two times mediocre service. $43 for a rushed natural gel mani and pedi. Today the girl didnt even give me a chance to wash my hands before polishing. There was no massage on my hands or feet. No lotion on my feet or legs at least... Thank God that I keep some in my car. I have easy feet... no scraping, but she could've pumaced (sp?) A little more for kicks. I messed up my right big toe trying to squeeze into the tight section where her work station was... the girl waited until it dried to fix. Notice I said fix and not redo. I came in here wanting to get a foil design. Being that most nail spots in MD don't usually have it I made a point to ask if they did before sitting in a chair. After being reassured that they did I say and a kind elderly man started diligently working on my nails. When it came time to paint them I re-explained what I wanted to find out that they don't actually have the foil I'd asked for. Then was instructed to pay as if he was afraid I would just leave. So I have been coming to this salon for the last two years constantly trying to find the good in it other than the special they offer. On Sunday I went in for the special and when the guy, who normally sits right in front of the entrance did my eyebrows after i requested a lady i was a little uneasy but let him do it anyway. when I woke the next day i realized that i had a huge burn mark on my actual eye lid. Not only did i pay over $60 for this service I got burned and have to walk around like this for the rest of the week. This is one of the worst nail salons in the District Height area, they use the same instruments on every client, they don't sanitize their footbaths they just rinse them out with water, they re-use the things that separate your toes, and the paper slippers, they got mad because I made them use all new products on me, they don't even spray their tweezers after each client when they arch eyebrows, I am sending a complaint to the Cosmetologist Board. All the other places I go to have the sterile packages this place doesn't, they do a rush job when they see more people coming in (all they see is money) the owner speaks English every well and always getting smart with clients. read more

I have been a customer for over 5 years and this is the first time I had a bad experience. H&N nails use to be a very good nail salon but the people in the salon are nasty and very lazy. They rush through your nails and pedicures and then have an attitude when you don't like their work. The salon has a black nail tech now and she take her time and do your pedicure right but this starts a problem with the other techs in the salon. She has developed a good clientele in which the other techs will try to swindle you into using them by saying things like "she's to slow I can do better"and when you refuse they become very rude. I was told to either let somebody else do it or come back early another day by the Tech with the Glasses and Don. So I came back another day. I wish I could give negative 1 star! Yesterday, I went to get my lashes done at this establishment and the lady Honey who usually does my lashes was out because she recently had a baby. She is awesome, she's fast, professional, and always in a good mood. The gentleman who was there yesterday doing lashes was rude and arrogant. He asked me to wait 20 minutes while he finished his current customers lashes. I waited patiently for 20 minutes which wasn't a issue. Once he finished a lady was there to get her nail fixed, he asked me to sit in the lash chair and he would be 5 more minuets. I followed his instructions still patiently waiting. Once he finished drilling and painting the ladies nail he was ready to do my lashes. I asked him to wash his hands so that the acrylic dust would not get in my eyes. He washes his hand and then says I need to wait an additional 20 minutes because he's taking a break. I still remained calm and said why do I need to wait another 20 minutes when you told me 5 minutes and instructed me to sit in lash chair. Another male nail tech jumps in and says we are short staff everyone wants us to rush we only have two hands and two feet. I said Sir I waited patiently never once rushed anyone he's mad that I asked him to wash his hands because he just fixed a nail and I don't want acrylic dust in my eyes. The guy who was supposed to do my lashes tells me I cant force him to do anything and that because I'm Honey's customer I need to wait for her. I said Honey just had a baby and he said "Honey will be back next week or her husband can do for you tomorrow". At this point I'm furious because I've waited 30 minutes of my time. I then asked for Ryan to redo the chrome and he blamed me for it coming off when he also didn't put the top gel coat on to begin with. I have lived all over the DMV and have personally driven and hour just to get to them to do my nails. They have great deals and specials and will always consult with you the price.
