Having a bit of a problem with an employee in your Washington PA Tanger Outlet location. Karen, the…read morestore manager, makes shopping at that location extremely uncomfortable with both her unfriendly disposition and ad hoc credit card policies. My wife and I both feel like she follows us around the store after we politely decline an offer of help. When we check out using the card reader that faces the customer(which is designed specifically so my card doesn't leave my possession), she always asks to see our credit card, even after we present our PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP card(which she coincidentally forgets to scan so we lose our points, so we've called customer service with our past two receipts to have them manually credit the points to our account). She then asks for ID, which I understand once in awhile is ok, but every time I shop there, it's the same story(and I've watched her ring other customers up without checking signatures on credit cards or ID'ing, so why me? Is it because of my accent?). MY WIFE AND I SHOP THERE ABOUT TWICE A MONTH AND EVERY OTHER EMPLOYEE OTHER THAN KAREN IS FRIENDLY AND RINGS ME UP WITHOUT A HASSLE. After my wife complained to me about how uncomfortable Karen made us feel last time, I got Robin, the regional manager, on the phone and asked for clarification on store policy and an apology. Karen called today and gave the most insincere apology I've ever heard(it was more a slap in the face than a conversation to clear things up) and cited her level of discomfort calling me since no customer has ever complained about her before. Her ID and card policy is something she only does because someone stole her credit card, not a store or company policy she said. I ended the conversation after it was apparent she didn't empathize with my position as she saw my issue as a mark on her perfect record

This particular J.Crew Factory store is located in the Tanger Outlets shopping mall. When I entered this J.Crew Factory store, a salesperson immediately greeted me near the door. Ten to fifteen years ago, I loved J.Crew's clothing, but more recently, I have not liked the styles as much. (J.Crew, please bring back your styles from 10-15 years ago!) Nonetheless, as I looked through the racks and shelves of clothing, I found one t-shirt to buy for about $17. I did not have to wait in line to check out. The cashier immediately said hello, rang up my purchase, and sincerely thanked me.

Throughout the store, the clothing and accessories looked to be a high quality. I did not need any of the clothes, so I ended up picking out only a pack of socks for $18. Prices are kind of high to be a outlet but, you can really clean up when they have a sale. I picked up a $125 Polo shirt for $17! What I really love about this store is their huge selection of Polo merchandise. They have Polos in colors I have never seen before and I have a ton of them! The women's section is just as well stocked as the men's. They also carry jewelry and accessories for the ladies as well. The kids section also offers a lot of cute Polo clothing for the little ones in sizes from new born all the way to pre teens. The customer service is always outstanding as well! I got to the register and there were 2 customers checking out. There was one cashier, one girl putting returns and other items back on shelves and two other employees at the door...chatting with friends. I waited...waited...and waited and no one stepped to another register to say let me help you!! When I asked to talk to the manager, to my surprise...he was the one at the door chatting. When I told him I don't think that with 4 employees in the store, there should ever be customers waiting in line. The response I got was that "you wait in line at Wal-Mart don't u?" !!!!!!! WHAT??? How dare you? I wouldn't pay $39.50 for shorts at Wal-Mart either and I won't be going in your store to pay that kind of money for that kind of ignorance. When I told him I would be calling corporate, he told me to go ahead and smugly said have a nice weeek-eend!! I called another store (in Robinson) to get the regional manager and that manager told me she would relay the message to her on Monday (she was coming in to the Robinson store then)...that was weeks ago!! I have never heard from anyone! Aeropostale...I have a big family with 25 nieces and nephews...you just lost all of our business. I am spreading the word on the management customer service experience I had in your Tanger Outlet store in Washington PA!!
