Famous Footwear has a great rewards program and awesome sales. If you go at the right time you can walk out with two pairs of shoes, one pair as cheap as $10 (I have more than once.) The last time I went they gave me a $15 coupon just for shopping there, plus I have rewards accumulated from shopping there frequently.

This happened twice in three weeks. Tonight, I phoned the local store where boots are shipped to and clerk confirmed boots were/weren't ready for pick up and then I phoned 1-888 line to re-confirm the order(s) were shipped to local store and the automated system confirmed the boots WERE AT LOCAL STORE! Why all the confusing information?

Although the store obviously does not have as large of a selection of merchandise as an online store, I thought that the assortment of shoes and accessories was good and that the prices were low to moderate. The time of year is fall, so I saw mostly dress shoes, sneakers, boots, and slippers. The handbags were not the brands that I prefer, but I liked the selection of socks. I picked out two pairs of socks that looked thick and warm. They were an average price of several dollars per pair. The cashier did her job well.
