Having a bit of a problem with an employee in your Washington PA Tanger Outlet location. Karen, the…read morestore manager, makes shopping at that location extremely uncomfortable with both her unfriendly disposition and ad hoc credit card policies. My wife and I both feel like she follows us around the store after we politely decline an offer of help. When we check out using the card reader that faces the customer(which is designed specifically so my card doesn't leave my possession), she always asks to see our credit card, even after we present our PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP card(which she coincidentally forgets to scan so we lose our points, so we've called customer service with our past two receipts to have them manually credit the points to our account). She then asks for ID, which I understand once in awhile is ok, but every time I shop there, it's the same story(and I've watched her ring other customers up without checking signatures on credit cards or ID'ing, so why me? Is it because of my accent?). MY WIFE AND I SHOP THERE ABOUT TWICE A MONTH AND EVERY OTHER EMPLOYEE OTHER THAN KAREN IS FRIENDLY AND RINGS ME UP WITHOUT A HASSLE. After my wife complained to me about how uncomfortable Karen made us feel last time, I got Robin, the regional manager, on the phone and asked for clarification on store policy and an apology. Karen called today and gave the most insincere apology I've ever heard(it was more a slap in the face than a conversation to clear things up) and cited her level of discomfort calling me since no customer has ever complained about her before. Her ID and card policy is something she only does because someone stole her credit card, not a store or company policy she said. I ended the conversation after it was apparent she didn't empathize with my position as she saw my issue as a mark on her perfect record

This particular J.Crew Factory store is located in the Tanger Outlets shopping mall. When I entered this J.Crew Factory store, a salesperson immediately greeted me near the door. Ten to fifteen years ago, I loved J.Crew's clothing, but more recently, I have not liked the styles as much. (J.Crew, please bring back your styles from 10-15 years ago!) Nonetheless, as I looked through the racks and shelves of clothing, I found one t-shirt to buy for about $17. I did not have to wait in line to check out. For me, I like the size of the men's department which features a wide-selection of clothing. I've noticed the department growing in all stores, but I really felt like this store had a ton of things I wanted to buy, which isn't great for my wallet. The store is well maintained and organized. Sometimes it looks like the back of my closet, but this location wasn't like that at all. Everything was pretty orderly and in place. For out of towners- Pennsylvania doesn't have sales tax on clothing so stock up. I know I do when I'm in town. Save those coins where you can. The checkout is in the middle of the store which was fine, but the line was long, which IS something I tend to see in all locations. The cashiers (there were two) seemed friendly and the line moved as fast as it could for an outlet location and eventually I was waited on, so I could leave- no I'm not still there writing this review from the checkout line. The selection is great. The prices are all the same as other locations. It's organized. The staff is nice. This is a solid location for sure.

The rudest and nastiest manager and staff I have ever encountered my whole life…read more First, I asked a cashier if I need a second coupon for my friend's item. She said it is ok to use one coupon as long as we use different transactions, one item per person. Since we got more items, we told her that we needed to decide which two we wanted to check out for the discount. Then, I came back and another cashier, which presumably the manager, told me that we cannot use one coupon for two people. I told her another staff said that we can use it. She said it is miscommunication (but deep down I know it's a lie) and she gave us an attitude. Fine! Then I went to the service center and got a second coupon. When I came back, it's the first cashier there being passive aggressive, so I simply asked her why she told us that we could use one coupon if we cannot. She denied! Of Course! Then I asked her if I could at least have a second bag for my friend's item since it was just being dumped like a trash in a bag. Then "the manager" accused me of being rude. I raised my voice and said, they were the people who were being rude and treating people like trash. Then the "manager" said: "You need to LEAVE the STORE since you are being so loud." I was so speechless!! So I returned everything and left the store. Those staff simply don't care about their jobs, and abuse people as they want because they thought they have the "power" to ask people to LEAVE THEIR STORES. No human being deserves the treatment like this!

I think that is the only time that I had an interaction with anyone in here.
