Visited for the first time since moving to the area and will be back. There's a great mix of vendors selling items from produce to comics to records to toys to sports memorabilia & so on. Being the fall it seemed like there weren't as many vendors as I'd expected, but I'm sure that's different during the summer. One vendor on the inside had some McFarlane Movie Moments figures that I was interested in until I saw they wrote the price and the word firm on the box in marker... Overall found some good stuff and will definitely check it out throughout the year.

Trader Jack's was my childhood. I grew up in Canonsburg, right down the highway from Trader Jacks. Now that I've moved within 15 minutes away from my favorite flea market, it's tempting to go look for deals nearly every weekend! Flea marketing is never the same experience twice no matter where you go or who you are with, which is my favorite thing about it. Beauty is really in the eye of the beholder, so forgive me if you aren't as excited about old cuckoo clocks or glasses with Looney Toons characters as I am. Almost every time you go here I guarantee if you look hard enough you'll find a hidden treasure. Last visit I found a pair of praying hands stamped with a seal on the bottom indicating they were made with olive wood from the Holy Land. My boyfriend brought a backpack and we quickly had it filled with vintage clothing, glassware, and other miscellaneous things that found a new home with us. It'll feel like you're spending a lot of money, but in reality you're far from breaking the bank here. You can haggle with the sellers if you're a real flea market pro, too! Trader Jack's opens at the crack of dawn. My dad definitely lives by the old saying, "the early bird gets the worm," and at Trader Jack's this is a true story. The earlier you can get there, the better selection you will have. In the middle there are some produce farmers that are typically there all day, and their goods are always fresh and fairly priced. My least favorite thing is that they don't have snow cones like they did there when I was young, but there's a small cafeteria with refreshments on the inside part of the flea market. Swing by if you're in the area, and come prepared to find some vintage gems!

I'm going to review Trader Jack's, but not as a flea market - as a farmer's market! Open on Saturday and Sunday, there are always 3-4 large stands selling produce (at least one of whom I was told is a farm). Some of it is organic and some of it is not. There is every kind of produce, and it's cheap, cheap, cheap! Go early to get the best buys! One of of the sellers has pastured eggs, but you can only get them early on as they always sell out. In general, if going for produce, earlier is better. You don't want to buy produce that has been sitting around all day, especially in hot weather. Also, be sure to walk around the market itself. On any given day, there may be people selling homemade treats, plants, home made canned goods, etc. There are also snow cones, homemade lemonade, and kettle corn. Check it out, and do some thrifting while you're there. Note: For produce, park in the main lot as close to the barriers as possible, as that is where the farm stands are located.

Trader Jacks is not the best flea market, but it certainly isn't the worst either. Lots of tables to browse through and a few good trinkets to discover. The food here is not good so I recommend bringing a bag of chips from home if you feel the need to snack whilst here. Also there isn't a soda machine to be found, so if you don't want to wait in verrrry long lines for a drink.....bring that also. All in all, I recommend a visit if you're passing through.

Set up for the first time (probably the last time). People there keep bothering you as you are trying to set up, actually going to our vehicle to look around. Very unorganized compared to Rogers OH flea market. Most of the spots do not even have a number on them so you don't even know where to set up and the rows do not even have a sign (Rogers has everything clearly marked). You pay there; nothing is done online. They don't even have a voice mail. No electricity for the vendors, food is lousy in their little food court. Guess what? There's this thing called Food Trucks! Get some in there! Their entrance area has 2 lanes but isn't marked also. Bathroom are disgusting.

Bathroom was a mess. No seat on toilet. Lady in office kept yelling on the intercom like someone running over a cat over and over again.

A friend recommended I check out Rogers Flea Market so I figured I would give it a try. Located…read moreabout 1/2 hour south of Youngstown in Rogers, Ohio the flea market is only open on Fridays. I managed to arrive at about 8am, 1/2 hour after the opening. There is extensive parking lots all around the market, I managed to find a spot up front just inside the fence. The day was a bit hazy from Canadian wildfire smoke so it seemed like quite a few vendors decided not to show up, many customers also seemed to have decided to have passed on attending. The flea market is huge, there are lots of open air vendor spots, a couple of covered pavilions and quite a few enclosed buildings. At first I was quite disappointed with the product selection since most of the vendors who set up near the front of the market are selling cheap new products the kinds of things you can find anywhere. I was much more interested when I found the back rows where there were more vintage items and antiques along with a wide variety of almost anything you could want. I check out all of the vendors who were there that day. I did find some items that interested me, mainly wood carvings and related items. Prices were OK, not sensational, but I also didn't find anything that I wanted enough to negotiate to see if I could get a lower price. I did end up buying a cinnamon roll from the Amish bakery in one of the buildings, I also bought some candy and trail mix from the discount candy store in the same building. Overall Rogers Flea Market was not bad, but not worth the drive from Cleveland. Some of that was probably due to it being an off day for vendors and part of it was that I have so much stuff I am mostly looking for indigenous wood masks and I just didn't find any on this trip. I did see plenty of people who had found plenty of things to buy, so your experience could vary. My recommendation would be worth a stop if you are in the area on a Friday, but not really worth a special trip.

I finally got out there this week and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the place. They have several enclosed buildings, pavilions, and rows and rows of outdoor vendors too. They have people selling everything from produce and coffee to gem stones and used tricycles. Each person that we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. We purchased several pieces of fresh, local produce outside and a few random items inside. I thought the prices for the produce were fair and most of the baked goods were priced within the $2-$5 range. The only thing that was disappointing was that by 2-2:30pm the vendors were starting to pack up. You need to be there pretty early in the morning to see most things before people start to close up shop.

I'm used to Flea Markets and booth style antique places, but this was an eye-opening experience. First, don't come here on a Friday at 9AM when it opens, nothing is open. Second, don't come here at all on a Friday as half the booths don't open. The interior is a mix between being overcrowded with stuff, water damage, and the general question of when it's going to be condemned. Large fans attempt to cool the flea market, and the hallway leading back to the former movie theater is blocked off. Booths are located in the hallways, former storefronts, and former anchor store. Most have a bunch of random stuff in them, but there was a toy/collectables dealer, and an appliance dealer. The booths in the former anchor have to battle with narrow walkways and the massive amounts of water damage, making it a challenge to shop at them. Parking in the front of the Laurel Plaza is fine, don't even try to go around to the back unless you have a truck or SUV, as the parking lot is equivalent to the surface of the moon. I wish the booth owners in here the best of luck, because unless I was a local who could be here in minutes, I would avoid the Laurel Mall Flea Market under almost all circumstances.
