A truly beautiful spiritual experience for me. I did the 10 day silent retreat in May and…read moreabsolutely loved it. I meditated a lot and it was one of the few times in my adult life I've ever felt such a deep level of peace in my mind and soul. The food was also phenomenal and I'm not even usually a vegetarian. This is the real deal for a spiritual retreat not just some frou-frou trendy thing for soft spoiled people wanting a spa experience, their ego catered to and needing their hand held throughout. It was transforming for me. I was there on my own spiritual journey and it was beautiful. I brought nicotine lozenges because I'd been a 30 year pack a day smoker and used those and I simply never smoked again after I left because I no longer desired to. Much spiritual clarity was found within as I sat still within nature and myself. I am going back for a 3 week silent retreat this coming May for more stillness and quiet contemplation. The tirth is very open and respecting of all people and ways of being and beliefs. I am Taoist and found this a perfect very healing and holy space for contemplation of the soul and being. If I could afford to spend a year there in silent meditation, I would do so in a heartbeat. It still might be possible so I am not ruling it out. Until then though I look forward to my next visit. I also highly recommend the yoga classes and found them very refreshing and a nice chance to gather and quietly focus our energies and bodies together with others. (For clarity: Ben R. Is not my real name; I do not share my real name on social media.)

The cows made me a vegetarian on my first visit (this is obviously a longer story, but my daughter likes to tell people that). I found a thread of myself there, a self I'd known and forgotten, a self that isn't a self because we are all one and everything is illusion (science), a foot back on my life path. Every time I return, I feel like I'm coming home. Try it out, you may find yourself there. You may find self love. You might just find a peaceful atmosphere and really yummy vegetarian food. If you take a course, you will learn something. If you do the work, you will grow. It's a safe place to just be you. No, it isn't perfect. You might have to find someone if you need something, but everyone is kind and wants to help. In all the many winter trips I've taken there, I've never been cold in the rooms. All the rooms I've stayed in have a self controlled pilot light heater and wall unit AC. I'm a well traveled, overly opinionated, neurodivergent, scientifically-minded woman, and I come back here again and again because there is no other place that gives me such peace, such hope, such momentum as Siddhayatan Tirth no matter how many minor annoyances I experience (I'm sooo easily irritated by silly things like having to ask for things or when things aren't as expected where schedule-wise or physically) haha...if I can relax, you've got a chance).

As we were walking we found a cave, walked through it with our flashlights and came upon a door. Once we opened the door we were able to, one by one hand, over those things that were in our backpack and exit the cave. We came to another door which led us out to where we were carefree again. I really enjoyed the imagery and it felt as if I was really there because of the slow breath work and calming of our mind exercise we did right before we took the cave journey. Thank you!!

She has a super soothing voice and a really warm presence. I feel very comfortable around her, she definitely has a calming energy. Obviously that's perfect for her line of work! Laura isn't only naturally gifted at what she does, she's also extremely well educated and practiced. She has an M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health and has co-authored books on both neuroplasticity and nature rituals. She spent 8 years as a director of a PsychoNeuroPlasticity center in Texas. Her website says that she "blends neuroscience techniques, therapy approaches and interventions, and shamanistic practices" into her work based on her clients needs. Laura offers guided meditations, one on one sessions, customized rituals and ceremonies, spirit animal journeys, and more. I'm not sure what all of these things entail exactly, but I do know that Laura is on a mission to help people find peace and healing through better connecting with their own selves and with nature. I've only done two guided meditations so far, and both times I honestly felt so GOOD afterwards. You simply close your eyes while Laura directs you on what to visualize. Even though I had a hard time clearing my mind (it takes practice!!), it was so nice to physically feel my mind and body relax, even for a short while. I can only imagine how powerful and restorative Laura's energy is in person when it's so evident through a computer screen. I'm really excited to continue working with her and to share the word... she's wonderful!

Not gonna lie, I struggled in the last 20 minutes of the class but when we were given a cold, essential oil-infused towel at the end, I felt like it made it all worth it. I appreciated that throughout the whole session we were told different modifications we could do and I felt very at ease. The facility itself is right next to a great coffee shop I worked at before the class and the parking lot has plenty of parking spots. Inside there were showers, lockers to put away personal items, and all the yoga essentials like mats, towels, and yoga blocks. Also went to my first sound bath and it was great - the owner was very sweet and really cares about each person that comes to the studio. Highly recommend checking out a class and/or sound bath!
