Right, firstly you need to know how much of a wimp i am! Secondly, you need to know that sometimes…read morei do get scared but thirdly i should add that this place is terrifying! Having had a few for Dutch courage before going to this renowned night club on first entering i thought i was being sent to a gas chamber the way i got ushered through to pay, about £3 for reference, and then pushed up to the stairs into the rather large, rather confusing nightclub. Now the clientèle in here are boys in tight jeans, girls in short skirts and in general a lot of scary people. (I feel i'm over using the word scary but its a little bit difficult when describing this place!) Firstly, we went to get a drink where the child behind the bar with attitude like a rock star said; 'What?' i sheepishly asked for a bottle and hoped she wouldn't spit in it. Just as i was thinking it wasn't that bad i heard a roar of applause and the DJ muttering some nonsense over the boom boom boom. The next thing i knew there were two naked girls in cage things that were up quite high so everyone and their auntie could see. I've never seen so many vaginas in one place. And then the strangest thing happened, a girl/woman (it was hard to tell) with a perm and a lot of make up came over and in the most friendly manor said; 'Hi, you OK?' 'Yes.' i replied. 'Can you hold this for me?' she asked handing me her bottle. 'No prob.' i said slightly confused. 'I'll be back now.' And then she walked about two feet over and beat the crap into some other permed, short skirted thingy. The bouncers took about two seconds to come over and seperate the idiots, upon which i got asked did i know the nutter? I slowly put her drink on another table and decided to get my coat. eeeeeewwwwwwfffff i'll have to give this a no no, sorry.

Wasn't the staff inside they are always great. But door security being as they door best treating us with no respect. Won't bother going to an advent there again. Don't think it can handle it. Kirkhouse still a good night out though. X

Wouldn't you just love to live in a village where one of the few local pubs is right next door? I…read moreknow I would. Well, my other half's parents do. Adjacent to their beach house is a quaint, quirky and very lovely little pub that everyone refers to as 'The Chemist'. It's exceptionally handy if you live on The Strand as you can pretty much just stagger home after a few, but it also boasts a smoking area at the back with decking, patio heaters and a super beach view as the Strand is in fact the closest street to the sand. What the Chemist might lack in drinks variety (particularly if you're not an ale drinker), it makes up for in atmosphere. You'll find older gents who obviously come here every night, propping up the bar and bending the ears of the staff while supping their half bitter. You'll find glammed up dollybirds having a swift one before exiting into Tenby. And you'll find walkers who've just done the trek to Wisemann's Bridge and come back to reward themselves with a cheeky drink. Occasionally the owners will put out free food to nibble on, like sausages for example, which they did while I was there last. It's friendly and welcoming, and somehow manages to feel closed and cosy in the winter yet airy and light in the summer. The decorations are fab too and you'll find yourself chortling away at numerous humorous signs dotted about the place. This is one of those bars where everyone probably will know your name if you've been a few times. If it's crowded it can get a little claustrophobic, but don't let that put you off as the ambience will soon see you right.

Great selection of beer and good bar service. The restaurant food is decent enough as well…read more Stopped in a couple of afternoons and evenings during the holiday season and enjoyed a few good performances out back on the patio which were a real treat.
