TJ led the "workforce" to "combat" the water that had sprayed when the hose to the toilet had broke leaving a swamp in the bathroom, bedroom and closets and much escaping down into the ducts. I don't remember all the people I met, but everyone to include AJ and Max were very knowledgeable, and helpful when questions were asked. All were very straightforward in completing their process of drying everything out and pulling out what was needed. They were very helpful to me to ensure that the claim was filed with the insurance company. One thing that stood out immensely is their attention to detail, not only in their work, but in explaining the process so I would understand what was being done. While convenience is not generally a part of this hurried process, they still worked with me and the insurance company to make everything ran as smooth as possible. I don't have a comparison to make to say they are the cheapest, but I do know that if the situation arises again, God forbid, I will definitely be calling them without hesitation. I am truly grateful for their work and being available at that (terrifying) moments notice.

So an upstairs bathroom had a "tiny" leak, and our plumber fixed it, but said "You need to call…read moreinsurance now." I did so, and my insurance company said I needed to call someone to do the "tear out" work immediately. I am very glad I called them. Kevin (the co-owner) came out right away, and spent almost 2 hours taking pictures and taking measurements. This was so he could give a very detailed estimate to my insurance company. And the level of detail in that estimate made it so clear to my insurer that they approved it without hesitation. To be clear: It was a big job that touched a LOT of rooms in my house. When it came time to do the work, they were fast and efficient. The most "unpleasant" part was that they had to leave some industrial-level dehumidifying devices running for a few days, but this is trivial compared to what they were preventing. (Although, some people in this house like sleeping with a fan on, so they actively liked it.) Patriot's team went above and beyond what I expected, too: They helped move stuff out of my garage and into a storage unit in the driveway. This was a huge help. I was very happy to have them do the job. I hardly had to talk with the insurance company at all because of their careful measurements and rigor in their estimate. If I ever have another disaster, I would work with them again. They were all polite, helpful, and even helped me understand what they were doing. (Which only made me more appreciative to have them do all of the work, instead of trying to do it myself.)

Everything had been updated before the purchase except for the walkway to the porch. It was in horrible shape. Some areas had broken off and you could easily see how the ground had eroded beneath it. It was truly a safety hazard. About a year and a half ago, I started calling companies who do concrete repair. Anchored Construction popped up first in my Google search, and I should've looked no further. I spoke with owner, Travis Bullington who seemed to totally understand what I was imagining my walkway to be. I sent him a few pictures of current walkway, yard, driveway, etc., and within days, he emailed a computerized drawing of exactly how the walkway would look and an estimate of costs. He also explained they would haul off all the old concrete, and spread grass seed and straw where it had been. This is where I really goofed. I hadn't researched, and had no idea how much the project would cost. I assumed his estimate was reasonable, but I wasn't sure if I could afford it at that time. So, I thanked him and that was it. He was so nice and understanding and let me know the door would always be open if I changed my mind. So, I started calling other companies, and yes, I did find some that would cost a little less than Anchored; HOWEVER, I quickly understood why! The first company said they would break down the old concrete walkway, but I would have to haul it off myself! Uh....no thanks! The next company, also a little lower in price would break down the walkway and rent a huge garbage receptacle that would be rented for at least 3 days and would have to stay in my driveway. Nope. Then I spoke to a man who was a one man show. He seemed nice, said he would definitely haul off the concrete and was the cheapest price of all. Yay! For the next 15 months, he was very difficult to reach. When he did take my calls, I heard excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't yet do my sidewalk. Too busy, sick, concrete machine broken, yada yada yada. Although I had been very patient and understanding for 15 months, he finally quit accepting my calls. So, here I was. No closer to completing my project than when I started almost 2 years ago. Every time I had spoken with another company, Anchored Construction was still on my mind. No one I spoke with had been as kind, professional or had been so detailed as Travis with Anchored. So, I decided to eat a little crow and email Travis again. Over time, I came to realize that I definitely wanted to work with his company and their prices were completely reasonable. Had I done a little research on my end, I would've realized that 2 years ago! So, he came to the house and spray painted the yard exactly where the walkway would be. That was so helpful for visualizing what it would look like. Before he left, we had a scheduled date to begin my project. The crew that came first was so nice and did such a great job. They pulled up the old walkway and loaded the concrete on their truck, dug out the shape of the new walkway, laid the gravel, etc. They even took that dirt and filled up some deep gopher holes in my front yard! The next crew, also very nice, came another day and poured the concrete. I had imagined it would just be a curved walkway like we had discussed, and I was so pleased with all the extra details they did! They even made the area before the curve more narrow than the rest. Every person who has come to see my new walkway loved the narrowed part and commented on that first! It's still plenty wide enough to walk on, it just gives it a little character. I can honestly say that I wouldn't do one thing differently, other than hire Anchored Construction after my first call 2 years ago! I'm truly thrilled with the outcome. Travis took my idea and turned it into a beautiful addition to my little home. I'm already thinking about a couple of future projects and I will absolutely use Anchored Construction for them!

So, we had these folks come out to correct a crappy job (putting it lightly) done by another hardwood installers & refinishing company which you can find in my reviews here on Yelp. Denton workers were nothing short of professional, pleasant, gracious and were great communicators. Furthermore, they started and completed the job exactly within the time frame predicted/promised with no delays, dragging of feet or wild excuses. I found this out when she accidentally sent me a screenshot of our conversation from her phone. I texted back asking for an explanation. She called me and, instead of apologizing, she doubled down, telling me I was the "most difficult customer" she's "ever had". The next day, she sent a novel-length text to me and my husband about why she thinks we are terrible customers. In summary, she was apparently angry because: 1. My husband and I asked the crew to wear masks when passing through the living room, where we were working remotely. We were fine with the crew not wearing masks while they worked. 2. There was a scheduling hiccup. I told Bobbie Jo in advance that I would only be home before noon one day, and she said that was fine. Then that day, the crew did not arrive before I had to leave. I called to reschedule and she asked me to leave my door unlocked for the crew while I was out. I said no, because I'm not comfortable leaving my unattended home unlocked in the middle of the day. Bobbie Jo seemed to think this meant we didn't trust her crew, but that was never the issue. Four days after she sent the screenshot, she texted a weak offer to "make things right" by offering us a gift card (of unspecified amount) to a steakhouse. Still no apology. She never said sorry or admitted wrongdoing. We declined the gift card. For the sake of completeness, we want to add that there was a minor issue related to the service. We asked if they could add shoe molding in one room and the crew said yes. After adding that to our invoice, Bobbie Jo then rescinded the offer because, she said, "I am completely out of trim." She didn't offer to let us know when she would resupply. She did take that charge back off our invoice. So if you want to be called a b*tch for making a reasonable request and having a small scheduling issue, go ahead, hire Denton's.
