Hey all. I'm not sure if 5 stars can tell the story accurately enough…read more I've had Morgan at Upstate do repair work for me, AND I've had him replace my systems as well. My two cents - While he may not walk in the door looking like a model wearing a white dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up, he's nothing short of amazing! Technically very capable, fast, and extremely fair and honest as well - As service providers go ... he's the best you'll find. o This may not seem like much, but never once has he tried to upsell me anything I didn't need or want. o I had him do a repair at my mother-in-law's house. The original installer had been out to 'fix' the 3yr old system FOUR TIMES over the course of a year. Tired of ignorance, I called Morgan out and the system has worked perfectly ever since. o I've had him repair an ancient (1980's) system at my office - while I only needed a few more months out of it, it was good to have heat in the winter! o And later I had him replace the system at my office and at my house as well - both jobs done professionally and, I might add, at a decent discount to what others had quoted me. o Finally, I just had him out to replace the system at our mountain cabin - amazing. Did his damndest to schedule an emergency replacement to my spec and on my time (before the next day's 85deg weather hit), and never once complained. I work hard for my money and appreciate people who 1) work hard themselves, and, 2) actually care about their customers (and not just their money) ... that'd be Morgan, in a nutshell.

MORGAN CAME OUT. charged 125.00 and said my unit was old. He said ONLY 125.00 today. DID NOT FIX…read moreIT! He said it had multiple problems but couldn't tell me what even ONE was. He may know how to install but couldn't diagnose a flat tire. SO if you have a problem don't call them They will leave your unit unfixed and you out of money for their incompetence. After he left I put it back together and I FOUND THE PROBLEM! USELESS WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY. Morgan was very nice ripping me off though. After I sent him a picture he wanted to tell me what he did before he left. 125.00 TRYING TO SELL NEW UNITS IS ALL HE WAS DOING. After I complained about the cost WITH NO repair he sent me a picture of the wires telling ME what was wrong. BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN FIX IT. I DID! Anyway 125.00 and all I got was a picture of his incompetence. It really surprised getting ripped off. BEWARE!

Landlord hired Thompson to come out to fix our AC, they came out but do not have all the supplies they need on hand and said they had to "order parts". AC finally got fixed after being without for 12 days. 2 weeks after AC was fixed Thompson came back out, without letting us know they was coming and broke our AC. Said they had to fix a "sensor" but the AC was working perfectly until they started messing with it again for absolutely no reason without even telling us. 1 week later, without much communication they FINALLY came back out to fix the problem that they caused for absolutely no reason. Terrible company, terrible customer service and just down right SHITTY!

After checking the basics like tripped breakers, etc. and found nothing. Bernco Solutions had replaced all our HVAC ductwork during repairs after Hurricane Helene and did an outstanding job so I gave them a call. After a brief hold I was told that they would work me in sometime during the day but couldn't say exactly when so I scheduled service and pulled out the fans. Less than an hour later they called and said they would arrive in about fifteen minutes. Service tech Drake arrived a short time later and began his diagnosis. After just a short time he reported that an A/C compressor capacitor had failed and he quickly made the repairs. My HVAC was back online in a total time of less than 45 minutes with the service call and repairs costing far lower than I expected. Courtesy, quick service and competent repairs were exactly what I received and I am very grateful!

They sent another crew out who bad-mouthed the first crew. We were out of AC for 8 days in 90 degree heat. Poor communication, poor followup and they are under new management. As of today, we were forced to install an entirely new HVAC unit to replace the one we purchased…read moreonly 15 months ago from Energy Sharks. The original unit we were sold is no longer manufactured with replacement parts available. After waiting extensively for a resolution, we ultimately had no choice but to move forward with purchasing a new unit - this time the correct size. During this process, we also learned that the explanations previously given to us, by Energy Sharks ,that the problems were due to using the wrong filters, that the system was filthy, and that nothing could be done - were false. The new installer worked directly with York to help us secure another unit, but we still incurred an additional cost of $6,200 for installation. In total, within just 16 months, we have spent over $15,000 to have a functional HVAC system - double what the actual cost should have been. My concern remains that others may be misled or treated as poorly as we have been, and I do not want additional consumers to experience the same level of frustration and financial burden. I would encourage everyone to just look through the recent reviews to see how bad this company has become. New ownership came with horrible people.

We had a reliable & HONEST, Knowledgable HVAC person, unfortunately he passed away and we are now looking for a new, reliable, honest HVAC company. I read yelp reviews most of which were positive for this company. Later we find out the positive reviews were before the company was bought out 2 weeks prior to our appointment. Anyways, we called... the first person that answered said we couldn't have an appointment for a few weeks, but we needed someone to service our units ASAP so they agreed to send a person out the next day. This person they sent was nice, however the spring service provided was unlike any other spring A/C service I have ever had before and not in a good way. When asked if the coolant would be checked i was told "it seems good, it feels cold" every tech previously hooked up gauges and actually checked the pressure and added if needed, but here I was told the "boss man would need to come out for that" and oh yeah, I would also need to pay an additional service fee for that to happen (I understand and expect to pay for additional coolant to be added). I mentioned that I heard a noise similar to the noise the other unit made when the capacitor went out, I was also told I would need to pay an additional service fee for the "boss man to come out". To sum it up, I was expecting an HVAC professional to come service our units, checking the motor, wiring, capacitors, voltage, etc. as we have had in the past. What we ended up with is paying somebody $238 to squirt the units off with a hose and telling us we would have to pay more and schedule another appointment for a real HVAC professional to come out. Buyer Beware!

I had never done business with him before and he was actually my 2nd choice...but my 1st choice guy fell through because he was out of town. I usually don't like doing business with someone new...however after speaking with Jeff and his wife I felt confident that I'd give him a try. He arrived at my house in Greenville SC right on time and diagnosed the problem and it was a quick $100 repair. I wonder if I had called one of the "big" companies would they had been honest with me. I feel like Jeff is a pretty honest guy and would trust him working on my house again. He was on time, well priced, and trustworthy. I would give Blast an A+ in my books and will definitely call him again.
