One of the best hot chocolates I've had here in the Netherlands. It's extremely rich in chocolate and delicious. For my entree I had the Orecchiette al Radicchio pasta. It was good but I was expecting it to have more of a cheesier taste since it has gorgonzola in the ingredients. It didn't have much of that cheesey taste. Other then that everything was great!

I tried the snails as starter and whaoooo! Pasta, i take it as the most delicious pasta in Den Haag but not expensive. I ordered the pasta with shrimp but as I shrimp lover I personally prefer larger shrimp. The home made tiramisu should never be missed! Don't be surprised that the waitress is not at your service. So here's the deal: I don't usually write reviews for chain restaurants; however, I feel that the quality of Vapiano, for what it is, is pretty good. I understand why lunch and dinner times (even during mid-week) are busy times. You don't get waiter service, but that's okay with me. This restaurant is set up in a cafeteria-style. When you arrive, you get an electronic tap card and go to various stations to get the food you want (salad, pizza, pasta, dessert/bar). The food is then prepared when you order at the counter, and you tap the card so it records your tab. When you leave, they scan the card and you pay for everything you ordered. I think the atmosphere is pretty good and can be intimate if needed, but also good for a group of friends.

I was pretty surprised that my beer arrived with ice in it because it's just listed as a rosé on the menu but this beer is AMAZING! It's like fizzy, sweet, alcoholic juice. Aside from the beer, we had a pleasant lunch here. The pasta and paninis were good but not super creative or outstanding. Good enough for me to give this place an enthusiastic recommendation, though. Our waiter was really, really nice and helpful with recommendations. The place was really empty at lunchtime on a weekday. It's kind of dark inside with lots of candles so might be a nice place for a date at dinnertime.
